Why, Pray Tell, Does Holmes Want To Fight Foreman Now?

Post by ThatOne »

"A guy put $10 million on the table for him and me and he walked away from it. What the heck is he thinking? You fight for $2 million? You are out there. And George Foreman wouldn't fight me for $10 million. But I want to know what's the matter with him. And I'll fight him now. I ain't in no shape and I'll beat George."

LOL I aint in no shape & I'll beat George!

Holmes has nothing left to prove. If by some miracle, he & George did the waltz, it would prove nothing & would not even a case of old timers having one last go. It would be sad to see, so hopefully its just talk by Larry & nothing becomes of it!

Both were great fighters, but why the fcuk, at their age/s, do they eve need to consider boxing or facing each other? One has made so much money from a piece of cooking equipment, while the other owns near enough all of Easton, Pennsylvania.

Holmes and Foreman were to fight in 1999, but it never came off. IMO, its a fight I personally would pay to see, even if the two guys are no longer ranked and active. I'd rather see the old school warriors duke it out, like Botha/Holyfield, than I would Klitschko/Chambers.

I'd prefer that they just keep counting their money, rather than being hoisted via crane into the ring again.
