Well, obviously the Beeb are experiementing with a new strategy and its not a particularly good one for the sport.

Tempted to organise a boycott.

Why can't they continue to show the fights in the early hours and then repeat the show on Grandstand (and repeat the show not the fight).

The shows presentation has improved since it started, at least it has its own studio now and not just in the Grandstand studio.

But I just hope their not going to go back to Balding or worse still that guy from Working Lunch - 'why don't you two just fight'! WTF.

On the bad side is the Williams vs Sprott will be shown when most people are working or watching the football. The good thing is that at least BBC are trying to do SOMETHING with their boxing scheduling, it wrong, but at least they know SOMETHING has to be done with the existing timetabling.

I often watch my original Benn vs Eubank II fight, as Nigel said 'boxing was better when it was on ITV'. The show before it with James Toney still makes me laugh and then it was that FANTASTIC music. Boxing seemed to mean more back then, in those days the music kicks in and then came the three great words 'WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING' then the old butterflies would be kicking in and your up on feet shadow boxing to the beat of the music.

The BBC intro with just the word INTERNATIONAL BOXING seems such a half hearted attempt and when they have the budget (which they are supposed to have for boxing) they can hype events.

More people would watch Boxing than would Fame abloodycademy I'm sure.

I even liked Jim Rosenthal and Gary Newbon never pulled no punches, although enjoyed sucking up to Naz.
