well dunno if anyone would be trying to guess my appearance as im not really a prominant poster , im an ex amateur super featherweight that has now ballooned to 13 stone 5 lbs 12 years later , im 29 , 5ft 9 , and have in past been told i look like dean gaffney apparantly (although id hope thats not the case ) im of mixed race im half hungarian , quater english and quater blonde trinadian ( basically from a white trinadian grandad ) so im sort of olive skinned ish . i speak in an odd accent , as i grew up in nottingham in the inner city and mixed in black communities but now live in the sticks at worksop , the people in worksop speak like yorkshireman despite it being still north notts , so imagine an olive skinned guy with a cross between a patois and yorkshie accent , its odd when i speak to someone if ive had a drink cos they cant understand a word , although i do know how to mask the accents a little when sober . lol

Funnily enough I knew someone who had a crossbow up here when I was in school, don't know if it was ever used on someone though, wouldn't surprise me though.

How bad is it in Nottingham? I heard it was the new gun crime capital a couple of years ago, it was terrible up here in the late 90's early 2000's couldn't go a week without the sound of gunfire, I just moved back in the area a few months ago it's like a new place, the police really cleaned up this place, they sent them all to north Manchester

i dont personally think its that bad really but neither do most people who live in nottingham , just had bad press really , there was a spell a few years ago where there was something like 200 shootings in 2 years but dont seem to hear so much of it now , the new police cheif started a big crack down on gun crime and everyone now just seem to have decided to use knives instead , but honestly i dont think its bad , when all the shootings first kicked off i was shot at in the first one that hit the news , i was 18 then , turns out they found blank shells nearby but i didnt effing know , i just ran like the clappers lol . in all honesty it was probably de to the fact that i had just been stood talking to my freinds cousin who at the time was a bit of a local drug lord , so likely hood is that it was mean to scare him or something but it wasnt gonna bother him cos he barely knew me , lol .

Good ole moss side, Manchester....it's nice to be back, surprising really how it is now compared to how it was when I moved to Salford for college. I lived here for 10 years till I was 16, it was really shitty when I moved away, now it's full of students. It's like a different town. The thing with reports on gun crime is weird, I don't know how it is down there but most of the stuff that happens goes unreported in the news from here, except local papers. There are still weekly incidents but nothing that makes the news any more. The last one that was big news here was that young lad Jesse James who was shot in rec park at the top of the street I lived on, it was only news worthy because he was 13, none of the other stuff gets a mention.

yeah think same applies here , ive known a few people that have been killed in the last couple of years that sometimes doesnt even make the local news let alone the nationals , although when my brother got stabbed randomly in the back of the head as he left a pub that made front page of the nottingham evening post , was really inacurate story though cos i think they just asked a few people at the scene but they wasnt gonna tell anyone that the bouncers saw it and pretty much beat the guy to death after.

diffeence maybe though that here we know the name moss side , wheras im sure most people just hear nottingham rather than say meadows or st anns etc
