I've been on the wrong side of an incident where the pub suddenly lost the CCTV recording.
Funny how that happens when there is the possibility that the staff are in the wrong.
I feel that if the CCTV can be proved to be in working order, and the recording is suddenly 'lost', then the bar owner should be prosecuted for with holding evidence.
I stopped a bag robbery in a bar and was set on by the bar staff, i've since been informed they were part of the set up.
One of the staff got pushed over and another got a bit of a graze on the neck, i threw no punches , but got smacked quite a few times.
The police turned up and i was arrested for assault, luckily i managed to get enough witnesses to back my story up.
But the CCTV was 'lost' by the bar owner, and this wasn't taken into account by the police. it was just a 'oh well, thats the usual'
Eamon Magee guilty of assault
