Post by ThatOne »

Does anybody know why they take down so many fights?

Maybe folks can post them here.

It's mostly recent fights that get taken down. I haven't had problems so far...

Companies such as HBO, Showtime and people like allegedly, they own the television or broadcast or whatever you'd like to call it rights to many of the fights of the last twenty years and they are basically being broadcasted for free on the internet without profiting them in any way.

Fights farther back then that, the copyright runs out and most of them are not renewed because aside from those large companies, HBO, etc. are the only places where they can be shown that will attract a respectably sized audience and the only ones that really do that are the Tyson fights, ones featured in the Legendary Nights series, Golden Age Heavy's, etc. so the rights to many smaller, less popular fights are not really owned by anyone or a company or person who will take action against infringement.

Now the bigger companies (allegedly in particular) will, I posted Toney-Jirov about 9-10 months ago on my old Youtube channel and about two weeks later I get a Youtube pinkslip saying take it down or lose my channel. Soon after I open up the one I currently post on and start putting up more obscure fights and never have a problem (aside from low views) again.
