Two things I noticed about Hatton.

This has nothing to do with his performance, but just two things that made me a little concerned.
Hatton's appearance in the pre-fight interview, that was the most gaunt looking I have ever seen him. Also since the Phillips fight there seems to be some 'restructuring' to his nose. His nose was never as bent after his last paid performance. I wonder whether his sparring is getting a little too hard recently.
Secondly, again Micky Vann was the third Man in the ring. This is getting ridiculous now. I'm not saying anything corrupt is going on, but Micky knows Hatton a bit too well now did you notice how many times he was shouting "watch the head". I know its his job, but its also one of Hattons main weakness (cuts) - he was focusing on the heads clashing a little bit much. Also, I can't believe he gave Rioz a telling off for holding when Hatton pushed him to the canvas. I know he gave Hatton a warning, but it left me with the overall impression that he knew what Hatton does best and didn't appreciate that Rios was doing a good job in spoiling Hatton.
I am a fim believer that Ref's should study their fighters and take their ability into account when making compasionate stoppages (i.e. if a fighter is winning clearly the rounds in a competitive fight against a non-puncher then really - for the sake of the non-punchers health that fight should be stopped, that guy (Garcia) who unfortunately died as a result of injuries sustained by Gabe Reulas would still be around if the ref had taken into account the fact that he had no chance of a victory).
However, I think this Vann/Hatton buisness is taking it to extreme.
