Ok so the bill on Sat does look like a good Friday Fight Night but there are 3 boxers on the bill that are tipped for good things this year. Liam, Ryan and Michael Walsh all have unbeaten starts to their pro careers after varying success in the ABAs and are all after another win this weekend

Ryan v Ian Bailey
Michael v Najid Ali
Liam v Sid Razzak

Bailey looked really good when beating young Barnes and this is the first real test for Ryan, i'm hoping that Ryan uses his superiour punching power to overcome him. I'm going for Walsh points

Ali Looks like a good, quick fighter, again a step up for Michael. They will be weighing in at around the same weight. I've no doubt that ali has skill but I can see no result other than K.O Walsh

Liam v Sid Razzak is a rather dissapointing match-up. I can't see Razzak having the strength or ability to get anything out of this. He is hard to K.O but is simply not in the same class as Walsh. K.O Walsh

All in all the 3 Walsh brothers are progressing well and should be looking at fighting for titles during this year.

I saw Bailey win on TV recently- he looked a capable fighter (against a poor opponent)- but looking at his record, he might lack power. This, in realistic terms means he needs to CLEARLY dominate the fight to win. If the fight is close, watch out for, surprise surprise, a "hometown" decision for the prospect.

Likewise, Ali- Michael Walsh is an agressive, come forward fighter (not exactly an expert on defence) , but I think that would be enought to give him the rounds on the refs card.

Also, watch out for premature stoppages.... (IE the fight being stopped a little too soon inf avour of te hometown boxers)

Good luck to both Bailey and Ali- I hope they do win- but I honestly can't see it.

Also, what of Vinny Mitchell? His match up is a rematch of a fight he won a couple of years ago (against a keen opponent, but one who is on a losing streak.)

Again, Baguley would need to REALLY dominate to take a points win, I'd say.

Has Vinny had a fight yet that hasn't been completely one sided? 11 fights 11 Wins but has only K.O'd 2 of the journeymen boxers that he has fought. Is he ever going to step up??

Put him up against Liam Walsh I say. Liam is a super feather aswell not the lightweight that BoxRec have him down as, so this could be a very interesting fight.

Liked or not the Walsh boys have provided entertainment and have been very impressive in their short career. They can only beat what is put in front of them and they have been convincing in doing this.

Why do you see no other result than a Walsh KO - except for pure bias on your part?

Michael has walked through all of his opponents thus far. He is quick, strong and hasn't yet been troubled. As I said before i've no doubt that Ali has skill but I feel he may be punching slightly above his weight so early in his pro career.

This and Ryans fight do however look to be great fights to gauge the progress of the lads.

Yes, but their behaviour hasn't won them many friends.

Acting the clown and mocking the opponent, and failing to acknowledge basic boxing ettiquette (touching gloves etc) comes across as very thoughtless.

Once (if ever) they start moving up in class, then they might earn some respect- or become a respected "love to hate" fighter like some people felt about Naz.

But at the moment they just come across as annoying.

I'd love to see them lined up against a journeyman, who really goes for it and knocks them out.

A capable opponent may well be able to expose their lack of defence- but then, as you say, they are ticket sellers - so competent matchmaker (who doesn't want them to lose) won't put them against fighters who may knock them out!

With things they are, they might go years before having a really competative match.

Thats because every single one of the fighters he has faced has not only been one division below him but sometimes two or three! Walsh has fought as heavy as 9 stone - he is going to walk through them - Ali is a flyweight and I hope the Iraqi belts him around the ring come saturday - he probably won't - but one day Walsh will be facing someone his size and he won't be walking through them! Can't wait to see it and I am not on my own!

I've liked the look of Michael since he went pro, seems to have skills and a decent whack.
hopefully with a bit of advice in the right place to the brothers we will see a bit less of the showboating. But saying that, they are the ones taking the risks in the ring, and its getting them noticed.

What? Michael fights ideally at bantamweight, in 6 fights he has fought people from super fly (1 weight below him) to super feather (3 weights above him). He has K.O'd all of them without going past the 4th round. Ali is flyweight and is going to get a lesson in pro boxing.

As I said before I know you don't like them and they don't care. Half of you havn't seen them fight. I would love someone to tell me when either Liam or Ryan have showboated??? It hasn't happened.

I dont like them they do seem talented though, all seem quite good step up's, Bailey looked good and durable in beating Barnes but I dont think he'll get another win against an undeafeted fighter here. All 3 Walsh's to win imo.

I have been a fan of theirs throughout their young careers including the ABA's. And I can honestly see them going all the way to the top.

Contest's between RYAN WALSH vs. IAN BAILEY and MICHAEL WALSH vs. NAJID ALI walk over, althought I still have'nt seen these Brother's fight yet i can tell you that Ian Bailey has had 5 weeks Notice and is More then a Handfull on 5 hours Notice, iv done alot of Sparring with Ian and Najid Ali, Najid is Class move's so well hard to hit, aint a masive Puncher but alot of them but Not big enough for Bantam, should be a Fly but maybe cant get any fights.. In this one he is coming in as an opponent, if he had the right team around him like FW he'd win alot of Title's at Fly...

How good is Micheal Walsh ? coz if he aint the Bollox he's getting Beat..

Ive seen all 3 fight a couple of times in the flesh - the best benchmark, and seen all of their fights on tape. If you believe all 3 of them will be at that level by end of the year, you are deluded, I'd have a hefty wager with you that none of them will be.
