TV show in the UK, on Virgin1, called “Danny Dyer’s Britain’s hardest men” or something like that…
They had the episode this week set in Blackpool. The guy was a head doorman in the clubs. When Dyer stars talking to him the guy talks about his old amateur career and then how he worked for a time on the QE2 where he spent his free time in the gym.
Ray Leonard was on board and agreed to do a bit of sparring. They start off with Ray fooling around, falling down etc… The guy was enjoying himself but admitted “I knew what would happen. I’m just too competitive.” This guy starts by increasing the power in his shots to the body. Then feeling brave he cracked Ray with the right.
Leonard then routinely hooks him in the ribs. And asks “did that hurt?” The guy barely whispers a no. Two more hooks and the guy is on the floor. Afterwards he was saying how he just couldn’t breathe properly for a few minutes after the session.
