He is the most overhyped fighter in Europe (Britain anyways), doubt he is the most avoided

Since when did giving the likes of Kevin Conception and Alex Spitko a beating warrant such praise

Dude lost to Storm Boy for christ sake

Yeah, I'm already getting a bit weary of this. I'm sorry, but I simply don't believe no one will fight him with a guaranteed reasonable purse, never mind the prospect of 15k to go with it if they win.

Bertrand has agreed the fight and is the only one that has. Scheduled for 24th April.

Matthew Hall's trainer has REFUSED the fight unless it is on their promotion. (which of course I am not going to fund)

The 15k purse is:
Either

1) To just win when they are three 3 judges (12 round Championship fight). Hopefully 19th June or to stop Yassine inside the distance
2) To stop him when the referee decides alone on points.

why not save yourself 15k and let El-Macchi beat Hall on his promoters show, which will be televised on sky, thus gaining him a victory over a top UK light-middle and more recognition as a result?

I would let El Macchi beat Matthew Hall on their promotion but he wont be getting the offer of a 15k bonus from me.

I have not heard from Matthew Halls promoter offering to put the fight on.

As I have said the time is for people to stop calling out on forums and offer to fight El Macchi.

The time is to put pen to paper and do it.

Yassine would fight Matthew Hall in a heartbeat!! We await the call.

Give Frank a call quoting his trainers words, I'm sure he'd be up for it :box:

if in el macji wins his next fight, which will be a hard fight for him, he should go after unbeaten polish fighter Grzegorz Proksa who is also avoided by all of britians top lightmiddles and middleweights

Let's hope, if that does happen, that the decision is undisputable. Few in boxing are, though. :-?

I think a top referee would be needed for this.

Are you guaranteeing to honour the bet even if you feel the stoppage was premature (or the judges scored it the wrong way?)

El Machi is entertaining to watch for sure and i like his style but is he capable of taking out quality opposition in the same fashion?

@kingfinn

Thats the 64,000 dollar questions

What's he gonna do when you have opponents who can move and wont offer up the target for his powerful, but obvious, straight left. What else does he have in the locker. Whats his southpaw jab like?

Am i missing something here? He seems to have been beaten every time he has stepped up.His record looks more like a dangerman/live underdog than the most feared man in Europe. And yes,i have seen him fight. He was very impressive in beating someone he was supposed to....

I took a day off work to go down and interview Yassine for BoxRec before the whole 15k offer started, unfortunately he called at in the early hours of that same morning to say he couldn't make it. Shame really as I was keen to see him in the gym, to see if all the hype was justified or not. And because it cost me a valuable day's holiday from work!

Will be interested to see how he gets on if/when he steps up. I enjoyed his last couple of fights, definitely seemed to get the crowd going. Regarding his record, it’s not the best but he hasn’t had any favours. In another life he could have been protected and be 20-0 but I think he will have learned more from the path he has taken, or been forced to take. Far too much inactivity though. The most avoided fighter in Europe is certainly stretching a bit; he might not even be the most avoided fighter in his Finchley gym! Whatever, I like Yassine and very much hope he makes the most of the chance he has been given. Time for less talk and more action now...

Well the action starts on 24th April. Yassine takes on Bertrand Aloa. He needs to win to justify the hype I fully appreicate. Providing he comes through this expect a very high ranked opponent in either June or September. We are currently negotiating with American boxers and one has already agreed the fight in principal.

By the end of 2010 we will know if the showman is the real deal

I think it's a novel idea putting up 15k,but to suggest hes europes most avoided fighter is pish.ok hes very strong and can punch against lower level opponents but hes no defence whatsoever and at the higher level he will be found wanting imo :box:

With regards to Matthew Hall, isn't he fighting Cedric Vitu for the lesser valued Euro title (EBU-EU) on possibly the Mitchell vs Katsidis card?
