tony bellows opponent tonight

Post by rhino222 »

now i know tony posts on here, but jesus, what are the BBB of C and the commonwealth council doing?, sanctioning this opponent for a commonwealth fight, he has had 4 previous fights and the record of ALL of his previous opponents, in total, is 1-1-0 :oo :oo

it really is a hideous decision and the board should be ashamed, the once prestigious commonwealth strap is now being treat at a level lower than an 'area' title !!

how on earth is this happening, is it because FW picked the opponent and the BBB of C have to accept due to FW bailing them out financially over the michael-watsongate saga?

sad....... very sad ... :shame:

and i can anticipate what is going to be written in answer to this....

"these ghananians are teak tough"

"an unbeaten fighter is an unbeaten fighter"

or

"boxrec is not a true record of an african fighters professional fighting history"

Thats what I'd go with, I would put money on it that is not his full record :box:

BoxRec only record verified contests. TV will claim around a dozen unbeaten (again). ;;-)

so tony but.. You looked really sharp! Good defence using the shoulder also put ya shots together really well. But it was premature. (for a title fight)

Warren seems to be using the commonwealth like he did with the wbu title. Also he keeps bringing inter title rubbish back sky should get strong with this. Why sky dont show quality like froch is very strange.

Nah - a better opponent from the Commonwealth could have been brought in - no-one is telling me that light heavyweights from Australia, Canada or South Africa are all running scared of Bellew also. :shame:

I think it was a fair stoppage, Bellew was in a different league and it would only end by KO for the visiting African.

An embarassment of a match

The way he threw a punch, dude looked like he came straight from a jungle and passed ay gym he came across without going in.

He has to be one of the worst challengers to come over. Frank has to do better

I dont remember ricky fighting dross like that in his WBU run

Opponent did not look too good technically, but so what, he got the belt, now hopefully he defends it against some good opposition and progresses.
