30 or 40?

Post by allworld80 »

Should we stop the current season at 30 weeks? It seems to be losing some steam.

I also may be inclined to stay on for another season if a replacement can't be found.

I'm not fussed. I wouldn't mind starting a new season after 30......but that could be coz my fighters aren't going very far this season. :(

i understand you're mad. i mean who wouldnt be with 2 .500 fighters. but thats no reason to step out of order and call the king of this season a noob. greb fought tjf when he was past his prime. we said after we beat spinks we're past it and dont really care what happens form this point on. the legacy is secure.

If asked, I would plump for 40 weeks... It is only another 15 fights until the finish and it would give fighters more time...

The likes of Joe Calzaghe, Maxie Rosenbloom, Tommy Gibbons, Tommy Loughran and Roy Jones Junior could all potentially have title runs...

Besides boxers such as mine and Deno's have only settled into the brs, I believe we should be given a little more time...

If we are going to end the season in week 20 (5 more fights) then it is very little time to achieve anything and things will not change that much.
In fact, we could just finish it after these fights if that wre the case.

40! Gotta give greb a chance to win the titles and establish a legacy of his own. To cut him off in his Simprime would be the biggest injustice in the history of BRS!

Just to be clear Creasenoob, you and Deno's fighters are shit and you won't win anything. Not being harsh, it's just the reality of it all.

Maxie is the champ, what else is there? Might as well wrap it up right now.

In fairness, if Rosenbloom can win the titles, than Gibbons and Loughran and Charles and Calzaghe and Jones JR are all in with decent shouts...

Not to mention the fact that Michael Spinks has his title shot this week...

(It's a good thing TJF didn't win this week, or I reckon he would've been no 1 contender).

I wouldn't disagree with you about Deno's fighters... Frankly, when he chose his fighters (around the same time that I chose mine)...
I was surprised at his choices, because frankly there were better fighters to chose from. :box:

But my boxers have done well in the brs... Granted, they both have blemishes on their records, but they are 2 pretty decent boxers...

Froch lost to Benn
The Benn fight was prickly close... Despite Froch flooring him in the eighth round.
Froch only lost by 1 point is ALL of the judges scorecards, so it was hardly an easy fight for Nigel.

Froch drew with Eubank
The fight could not have been closer.1 judge had the fight to either boxer and the last judge had the fight as a draw.
A single point either way would have won the match.

Froch lost to Calzaghe
But his was throughly beaten, Joe was more skilled and the number of rounds passed by as Joe kept scoring 10.

Froch lost to Conn
This was a SCANDAL! After 8 rounds of boxing, Conn's cut worsened...
He was unable to continue, yet the fight was awarded to him... :shame:
What a crock. :shame:
