Had a tear in my eye reading that. Always enjoyed watching him box (apart from the night he bust up my good pal James Rooney) and I'll be pulling for him to roll back the years. Go to it Jamie.
I didn't realize he is only 30, I remember his scrap against Mulholland for the British title, was edge of the seat stuff that night, he came through a tough few rounds to outlast Mulholland in the 6th.
Good luck to him in his comeback, sounds as if he's been getting good sparring to see where he is.
a good lay off can do wonders & there is alot of truth in what he's saying regarding taking fights, but the punishment mkeever would absorb is what made people warm to him, he has incredible heart & hopefully the punishment he has took has not taken effect & he's rejuvinated good to read he is healthy. my mother had cancer & i lost loads of weight through worry i hope jamie is coping better then what i did & is not using this too give his mum a boost as im sure she is incredibly proud allready.
A great value performer full of action and guts. If Jamie gets half as much back in life as what he put into the boxing ring he'll do alright. Best of luck.
