I think there will be a bunch of boxers from Region 5 competing for national titles. Region 5 (Great Lakes Region) is always tough and includes boxers from Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, and Illinois.

Do you feel its too early too say there are sure shot Champions. Like Raushee @ 114 lbs seems like a sure shot for U.S. Champion.

About the time you think there is a sure thing, is when a boxer is upset. Most people probably thought Rau'shee Warren was a sure bet last year at 119 and then he lost to Magdaleno.

Rau'shee is clearly one of the favorites at 114, but I hope he isn't overconfident like he was last year.

Id say Raushee Warren has 114 in the bag until I see different. I do think he is growing and might be better off at 123. I wouldnt want to be in London and having trouble making weight. Yes I do know what your saying about taking people lightly wont help you but you do need to be confident in this sport or its not going to work out either. :box:

Remember that Rau'shee was not expected to be on the 2004 Olympic team as he won the Trials at only 16 years of age. Who knows, there might be a 15 year old kid that will win the trials next year and be on the USA Olympic team in London at 17.

Raushee and Diego Hurtado were both 16+ and beat out everybody (Rayonta Whitfield, Austreberto Juarez, James Lester etc.) out of no where to go against each other at the Box off. Thats is true. I understand your point of view. :TU:

USAB hasn't announced the qualifying process yet. My best guess is that the 2010 National PAL will be the first qualifier.

It would not be this year's National GG that would be a qualifier for the Olympic Trials. It would be the 2011 NGG that would be and my guess is it will be.

I dont think Raushee is a lock over Adam Lopez at 114lbs..
And Errol Spence is gonna clear out 152lbs..

Well Raushee is the Man pretty good power and great speed. Adam Lopez is pretty good and will still improve by then early next year but he might a 2016 canidate but he will battle in there for sure. I hear Diego Hurtado will be there @ 114 by the time 2010 PAL comes around and you have to put him right back there in the mix to make USA Team this time Raushee or no Raushee. 3 min. rounds favor Diego Big Time and considering he hasnt turned to PRO yet either to finish his dream of getting on the USA team. He battles Raushee pretty good if he can get a fair shake. Im sure some 123's may drop down and get things interesting there @ 114 lbs. :TU:

Anyone with a decent jab and some movement can give Lopez a hard time. He's always had a hard time with southpaws too ....so I think Warren is safe there.

I think Raushee is a pretty strong lock. Also that Chris Pearson is going to have a lot to say in that 152lb Wt Class

Allen is 17. Rashee is 23. Tramaine is 17 or 18 now I think. 2008 he fought in Silver Gloves.
