Program #197: This week's Sweet Science boxing program is broadcast live from 3KND Radio 1503AM in Melbourne.

The show features the following:

- Monster News Wrap with Paul Upham including the Mayweather v Mosley superfight results, Les Sherrington defeats Rubin Williams, Bob Mirovic retires, preview of Williams v Cintron, Vic Darchinyan to fight a tuneup on May 20, Marquez v Diaz II announced, Katsidis accused of disrespect and the Australian bantamweight and welterweight titles to be contested in Brisbane this weekend..

- Then the Ron Richards Tribute special.

The late legendary Aboriginal boxing hero Ron Richards would have turned 100 on Saturday May 8 and to commemorate his career a memorial plaque is being unveiled in Purga Mission near Ipswich in Queensland.

The Sweet Science pays tribute to this giant of the fight game with guests including:

- Kenny Watson - Historian and foundation Australian National Boxing Hall of Fame member on Rons career and legacy

- Steven Davidson - Event organiser and Chairperson of Purga Elders and descendants to talk about Rons time in Purga and impact on the community.

- Ken Rowsthorne - National Indigenous Times sports journalist who met Ron Richards a number of times.

- Max Ford - Ron Richards nephew to speak on behalf of the family.
