Chisora gets the shot against Danny May 15th
Chisora is in now and the fight is on for the Mitchell card.
Sure we all have our views, just hope Danny is in shape and gives himself a chance, he has known Sexton was out for a while now, will he have continued training fully or stepped off the gas?

Has Danny ever trained fully? He'll probably of come in at 20 stone either way.

Re: Chisora gets the shot against Danny May 15th
Hi folks,
I'm not saying Williams-Chisora won't happen on May 15, but the fight's not signed and sealed yet. I just thought I'd clarify this because the wording suggests its 100% on. This isn't the case so lets just see.
On another note, I hope Mrs Sexton pulls through and makes a full recovery on what must be an extremely traumatic time for Sam.

Re: Chisora gets the shot against Danny May 15th
I actually think if Danny survives past 4 he will win. Had the fight with Carl Baker been 4 rounds Danny would have won. I think Chisora will go after him and blow his load and Danny will then come back stronger to win against a tiring Chisora. The other scenario is Danny gets KOd early. That is if the fight is made.DG1 wrote:Danny has to take him out in the first few rounds or he will lose.

Apologies Ben it was never my intention to mislead, I was told the fight was definately on and thought it would be therefore shared the news with the board, hope it goes ahead as I was told.Ben Carey wrote:Hi folks,

We need to move the British title on now, its been stagnating a bit.
Would also like to echo your thoughts about Mrs Sexton, wish her and the family all the best and hope she comes through this.
Re: Chisora gets the shot against Danny May 15th
It is a case of the young and the old at Upton Park on May 15 when Brixton’s Danny Williams defends his British heavyweight title against Finchley bad boy Derek Chisora.
Williams, 36, a ‘shot’ fighter by his own admission, makes his first appearance since he was shockingly outscored over three rounds by Sheffield’s blubbery Carl Baker in Prizefighter last autumn, after which he should really have been stripped of his British title by the Board, a title he first won back in 2000. The champion – the first reigning British champion to enter Prizefighter - was down twice in the first round against Baker, who goes by the nickname of “Fridge”, and did well to make it to the final bell.
In contrast the 26-year-old Chisora, unbeaten in 12 pro outings, crushed Baker in two rounds in February to earn this shot, after kissing Baker full on the lips at the weigh-in, and raised several more eyebrows when he nuzzled on Paul Butlin’s ear in a winning eight-rounder last May, which earned him a four-month ban. He holds a more legitimate win over reigning Commonwealth heavyweight champion Sam Sexton, whom he stopped in six impressive rounds in 2008.
Williams has seen it all before, of course, with knockouts over ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson and Kali Meehan on his resume, but he turned pro back in 1995 and looks one of those ‘old’ fighters, although a knockout punch is always the last thing to go. On this note, his recent “I’m shot” declaration could be regarded as a ploy to draw Chisora into a dust-up which would give Danny - always slow on his feet and who once scaled 20st 8lbs for a fight - a better chance of landing one of his big bombs; otherwise, it is hard to see anything but a win for the elusive, clever, sharp-hitting Chisora, here.

Good write up there Bennie and you are absolutley right - I cannot see anything other than Chisora steamrollering Danny in around 6 rounds. Williams had a good chance against Sam Sexton but I can't see how Danny is going to pull this off - this will be his last fight wherever he wants to carry on or not.bennie wrote:It is a case of the young and the old at Upton Park on May 15 when Brixton’s Danny Williams defends his British heavyweight title against Finchley bad boy Derek Chisora.

Re: Chisora gets the shot against Danny May 15th
i disagree i think danny will win, he underesitmated baker who is no mug despite his size, baker give chisora too much respect, close fight but think danny is the heavier hitter and will prevail
Re: Chisora gets the shot against Danny May 15th

I would love McDermott to get the chance at Chisora for the vacant title - I think McDermott would beat him personally.Bomber 1 wrote:I don't know who Del could fight mate???

Re: Chisora gets the shot against Danny May 15th
i think at the moment sexton is the only domestic level heavyweight that is in a chance with beating chisora , the rest are either too old, too young , or just not good enough.
Re: Chisora gets the shot against Danny May 15th
danny will pull this out the bag big KO win.

Well said, I hope Sams mum makes a full and quick recovery. Sexton will be back and if Chisora get's the British, what a cracker Sexton Vs Chisora 2 would be for British/Commonwealth!Ben Carey wrote:Hi folks,

It will be interesting to see how Chisora handles a supposedly fit and hungry to win his last fight Williams if it goes ahead. Chisora hasn't had a real test yet, and with Sexton coming through the 2 Rogan/Belfast fights the way he did, my money is on Sexton.
