Who wins?

on edit. I must have been drinking. I was trying to put Tyson in the year closest to his prime as possible and hit 83 instread of 89.

I think Tyson wins 9/10. The 1 he losses is cos he punches himself to a standstill and Foreman KOs him late. Bear in mind I don't think Foreman was as good in 89 as he was in 91 or 94. The problem wiv Foreman is that wen he throws a hurtful jab u can see his left foot moving in 1st (he was that slow) And a young Tyson will exploit this.

As for the other match up, even an 1989 Foreman would tear him a new acehole. So I don't need to say wat a 1973 Foreman wood do.

Going with Tyson in '89. The Foreman of '73 against the Tyson of '83, though!? Are you joking!?

Foreman 89 losses to Tyson 89, Foreman 73 beats Tyson 83. Did you mean to put Tyson 83?

('73) Foreman beats ('83) Tyson.
Wonder if Tyson shows up for this second fight in the playground after school's over for the day. That's one hell of an after-school stoush.

I think that a 1988 Mike Tyson would stand a 45-48/55-52 chance against '73 Foreman, but a 1989 Tyson would stand a 35-65 chance against a '73 Foreman.

ThatOne I'm curious why you chose a '73 Foreman. (Besides beating Joe Frazier by TKO.)
I was trying to match a prime Foreman v a prime Tyson and a past his prime but wisened Foreman versus a prime Tyson.

My two pennies worth.

The 89 Foreman wasnt as good as the 1991 one and the 1989 Tyson wasnt too far removed from his 1988 version certainly not too far removed in terms of confidence and will to win. It would have been an explosive match up a real nuclear war. Foreman would hurt Tyson repeatedly in the course of this 5 round fight, but lets not forget the Tyson of 86-91 had one hell of a chin. Tyson would maul and eventually bring the old grizzly bear down and out in what would go down as the HW divisions greatest war.

The 1973 version of Foreman would bounce Tyson 89 all over the ring, Tyson would try and come back but it would more or less be a one sided beating ended by kayo in 4. There is a chance if Tyson could turn up in shape and weather the early storm and take it into the 8th and beyond that he could turn the tables but i still see it as George early.

73 Foreman would smash mike I love mike but stylistically not a good match. Foreman Ko's Mike.

89 Tyson would UD Foreman 89. Foreman is a bit overated in his come back. Yes he has power but its slow.

Even though Mike feared Foreman. Once he got in the ring he would realise the nightmare of 73 and the Foreman of 89 a different fighters. Tyson is too fast for the old Foreman. This would be a case of Tyson realising that the man in the right is not as good as the man of his nightmares,.

73 Foreman K0 7 Tyson.
89 Tyson UD12 Foreman.
