I was being stalked by some obssessive nutcase on the internet, he captured me made me sleep in his shed at the bottom of his garden and touched me , here, here and there repeatedly.
Luckily the stalker now has David haye in his sights so i can get back to boxing, :OhYes:

I know.

He did say some bullshit though - playing down why he lost to Manny Pac - by saying he had a unsettled training camp, etc

When it was obvious the main reason was he was waaay outclassed on the night by the much better fighter than he had ever been in a ring with before.

I don't even think he lost the fight but I remember Robin Reid blaming the death of Princess Di for a poor performance!

To be fair, she did a lot of work for children in childrens homes, and I think he had first hand experience of her help, so I think his grief was genuine.

Wasn't a loss (although he lost on my card) but the funniest excuse I've heard about a bad performance.

"the death of Princess Diana really got to me" - Robin Reid vs Hasine Cherifi.

Didn't the date of the fight get postponed by a week or two because of her funera falling on the same day of the originall? I can imagine that this would have been a more legitmate excuse.
The date was postponed due to Dianas funeral and he had to had his weight longer, thats what he meant. Perfectly valid excuse.

I aint doubting that was the case, but thats not what he said AT ALL. As mentioned he was nearly in tears and said he was in incredible grief.

I remember BM writing the report and said that Reid looked geniunally cut up. They didn't mention the postponement being what he meant.

Was it Andrew 'Six Heads' Lewis who quit on his stool (excuse the pun) because he was so desperate for a s***?

Frochs excuse it pathetic.

Its Tuesday - and the fight is Saturday.

Some volcano ash is in the Sky and the News informs people flights are temporarily cancelled.

NO-ONE - involved in the promotion tells Froch the fight is off - because its not - its still on.

But he assumes its off...........so what does he do - days before the fight..................

Gorge himself on.............

McDonalds
Choclate Fudge Cake
Burger King
Pepsi
Coca Cola
Ice Cream
Chips
Fried Breakfast
Wimpy
Kentucty Fried Chicken and Chips
Popcorn
Sweets
Hot Dogs

And then - he realises the fight is still on..............but says he was sluggish because he pigged out all week

But he still by a miracle made the weight

I think you mean Andrew "Turtle Heads" Lewis :)

And yes, that's true. Although anyone who's been stricken with tropical diarrhoea (the fight was in Guyana) will know that when you gotta go, you REALLY gotta go!

Roy Jones said he lost Tarver III because he didn't think his dad deserved the credit he would have got had Jones won

Roberto Duran supposedly ate a massive steak and got stomach cramps for Leonard II

Tommy Hearns had his legs rubbed too much before the Hagler fight (to be fair this is more Steward than Hearns)
