At the risk of incurring the wrath of Haye's biggest fans, (and I include myself as a fan of his) I think this fight was always going to happen once Audley won the Euro crown. They have stoked it up nicely with the apparent antagonism between them featuring on many inside pages and it will sell big in the uk if not the rest of the world.

I am not as convinced as everybody else that David particularly now wants the Klistschko's next up, I think common sense has prevailed and he realises he can probably make two very very lucrative defences before he needs to go in with either "K" brother in fights which he would undoubtedly start a tidy underdog.

Expect him to fight Harrison September/October time and then either Chagaev or Adamek Feb/March and then next summer will be the Klitschko fight (either one).

Well it'll be good preperation for fighting someone so tall like one of the Ks, nothing illegitimate about fighting the European champion, I hope he gets Klitschko soon but they shouldn't take liberties and the more he wins the better his marketability will be.

Of course there is. Boxing continues to amaze me, how on earth can Audley be a legit challenger for a World title. Since losing to Rogan (who is not even the best domestic fighter we have) Audley has beaten three novices and a journeyman. The fact he picked up the European title, says a lot about that particular title.

I see why it'll sell, but surely this makes a mockery of the sport. Fine it's a fight which will sell, but this is not a World Class challenger! Haye wants an easy payday

I believe haye vs valuev showed just how much money can be made without having to take a huge risk against one of the K brothers, this fight could make alot of money im sure and meanwhile the K brothers get a little bit older and the fight gets hyped even more, i would rather see haye take on one of the K brothers right now but i can wait a fight or 2.

It is a crap fight that will sell out in record time and the ppv will go through the roof!
Of course Haye doesnt want to fight either Klit yet,Adamek or Chagaev,he can make an absolute fortune taking on Audley.

This fight will be a waste of time. Audley wont last 3 rounds. It'll make a decent amount of money and that's the most important thing in boxing, sadly.

If this fight happens David Haye is a disgrace

All that hype and talk and he goes for this

That is assuming it is true of course

It would be KO1 for Haye in Khan/Prescott fashion so I wont be paying for it. I would love Audely to win and I think if he lands first he could shake up Haye

Life savings, bank robbery, piggy bank and every other way of getting money would all be lumped on the under

i thought that david haye wanted to fight wlad, but when the sanctioning body (IBF) many felt would get it the way, actually went out of their way to let the fight happen...then haye decides he wants the other brother.

it seems shoddy and disingenuous to do that. the boxing politics appeared just right to let negotiations go on. obviously it won't seem shoddy if he gets a fight with vitali, so we'll have to see. i do believe haye wants the biggest fights, but clearly haye - who came up from a money-starved division, cruiserweight - can clearly make a lot of money vs audley and chagaev, who won last night in an eliminator.

if the klitschkos could make a lot of money vs audley harrison, i'm pretty damn sure they would go for it, if we were to put the shoe on the other foot.

an easy sell, one would think. and that's what it's about, really.an easy cash in and he has every right to pursue it. i still think he will end up entering a massive fight, whether it's a klitschko or a post-klitschko heavyweight name.

definitely could be useful given audley's size, if nothing else!

I said this would happen. It's a big fight for the UK, and the money involved means Haye would be silly not to take it. There's plenty of time to fight a Klitschko later.

How on earth can Harrison get a title shot........

What's happenned to Haye's " I want to fight the best, clean up the division.........."

Well, he is certainly cleaning up crap where Audley Harrison is concerned.

It's a terrible fight. Like most have said, it will sell out, but it won't go past 5 rounds.

i knew this would happen......im a haye fan but its getting harder and harder to defend him and theres no way he can justify taking this fight.....not so long ago didnt he say he didnt care about money only legacy....well this fight is not doing him any favours.....when you trash talk as much as haye there comes as point where you have to back up your words.....

I be against it as when you consider the full package of attributes needed to be a boxer, I place Harrison as fringe domestic class.

To fight Haye would generate him a pay day of a few hundred grand and he in no way deserves it whatsoever. That's categoric. People can kiss his bum all they want but it doesn't need to be debated any further than what I've said here. :shame:

totally agree with your opening statement.

i believe he will take on one of the big names in the heavyweight division.

haye is a great competitor, but he's also a promoter now as well. the promoter in him must be tempted to go along with this, a fight that sky seem very keen on.

Haye 1/8 and Harrison 9/2 with William Hills the only bookie to have priced at present

As mentioned earlier the under may be the bet, whatever it is set at should be the call really

Lets not forget also Harrison fought for a vacant title,he never beat the European champ. Neither him or Sprott had earnt the right to contest that title.
