Socceroos in South Africa

Post by adamheight »

pure humiliation. cahill exposed. some thought he would be as international football is a whole lot different to league football.
the red was a bit harsh, a yellow would have done. a win needed against ghana, i just dont think its gonna happen.
neill needs to pick up his game too.

pathetic.

the worst display thus far from a team this year. 4-0 was actually a blessing, could have been 6-0.

I guess people that were critical on selection (age) were spot on.
Experience comes with age logic doesn't always work.

Or worse, Cahill certainly didn't deserve a red that was BS....if i have to get up at 4;30 in the morning for that again i wont be happy.

This Pim Verbeek is a goose...First he leaves McDonald out of the team, then he doesn't start the team he's been using in his freindlys ie Josh kennedy,Bresciano and co.
Serbia and Ghana are must wins.

Reality check as the team was exposed as too old and slow. The bad loss against USA should rung the alarm bells but it was too late with players carrying injuries Least we have another 4 years to blood some younger and hungrier players.

Good punt to back the heavily backed favorites half and full time to win. No shame in losing to Germany.... shit there on fire. Thankfully NZ not drawn with them, the score would have been x2 or more.....

To be honest I thought the Socceroo's were heading for a result like this. It is not team selection, it just that Australia is not strong enough.

When you beat Ireland and Holland in europe over the past two years they played their second/third teams against you and that artifically inflated your FIFA ranking and your hopes.

The trouble is the level of opposition you play in this region. During the Asian and World qualies you were making the same basic defensive errors, and with Qatar/Uzebeks they will let you off because they are low quality outfits. You make a basic defensive errors against the might of Germany and they will make you pay in the most spectacular fashion. The only piece of comfort I can give to you gents is that it could have been alot worse, some of the Germans were not on top of their game.

Also the A league is still very poor in quality. In fact if any of the A league sides came to England to play they would struggle against a League one club. (old Third Division)

You need to win the next two games, simple!!!

I do not think the the south american countries will do it, If I were going to put my childrens inheritance on it I'd go for Spain or preferably Italy.

Italians never start major tournaments well and will only get their shit together during the Knockout stages. Just watch their odds go long after they struggle to win game two, then place your bets gents!!!

Historically when the cup has been played outside of EU it has always been a South American country to win.... so Brazil or Argentina seem likely. Multi it with a Mundine win along with SBW to win (if they take bets) and Nelly Noodles....

New zealand went down 2-1 against a Understrengthed Australia, Australia beat the Dutch,Denmark and a couple of other top ranked 30 countrys it still didn't make a lick of difference, when your playing Brazil,Germany,Italy and a Spain there's a universe of talent between teams like NewZealand.

Good on Newzealand for getting a draw, nice job against Slovakia.

Not many expected the team to do anything but be competitive. They have thus far....Italy, then Paraguay.... tall order but so long as they stay competitive it's all good.

I bet the OZ SBS TV pre game commentator is in shock.
Prior to the game, frigging expert gave Kiwis no hope, half time he changed his tune & crawled under the desk full time.

NZ SKY crew was total opposite: always saw them as having an outside chance - in reality Kiwi's stole the draw in the very last minute as they threw the kitchen sink at them. Otherwise it was 99% being at the receiving end.... who cares at 11$ odds I am happy and everyone is stoked

Mmmmmmm 6.50$ for the draw this morning V Italy..... oh yeah! that was a true value bet come good. so correct me if I am wrong.... NZ Drew 1-1 V Italy who are defending world champs and AUS got hammered 4-0 by Germany..... interesting times.

No your correct, but if we're comparing the 2 teams on quality, that dispute was put to rest before the cup 2-1 to Australia and that was ab level Aus team.

This would be a different cup for Australia if our highest profile players wer'nt being sent from the field every ten minutes, Australia would have beat Ghana by 2 goals easily.

Good on NZ but i have a feeling it's got as good as gets for them....all the best and i will be cheering, as the commentaters said, it's the biggest surprise of the tournement, and everyone loves a undersheep i mean dog :TU:

Just like that sentence in bold you contradict yourself. Another thing is I never said anything about NZ you made comparisons and even told us there is no hope so you tell us why your so inaccurate or 1 eyed with your nation.

Hey the proof is right there you had a lot to say about the all whites not going to do well against Italy..and what happened??...

You were WRONG and theres proof we all read it here at boxrec its right there all your talk being???....haha

Just admit it.

You are a nut case, pure and simple.....mate i have nothing for you, the first time i spoke to you on this forum you proved that there is nothing floating right up top, from your sworn testimonies that David Tua was a world champion until you shamelessly persisted that 1 of the greatest fighters who ever lived was a Kiwi(Bob fitzsimmons?)Then you offered the moderator out who tryed to correct you, then you made up conversations with Dead boxers sons Bob Fitzsimmons, all the while proving that you know fornicate all about the sport. Mate you give an Aspro a headache!

Please show me where i have been inaccurate only, i really couldn't stand to hear your child like arguments ex ADMIT IT, THE PROOF is There, ADMIT IT, ADMIT IT or your conjuring of others to get your back in an adult argument... better known as a scrap for some, or is it my first initial thought that your semi illiterate and have problems understanding written text?

Either way.... seriously if you can't barney like a man fuckoff
