Looks like prizefighter could be a big break for someone.

Magee going down the toughest route I see. The winner of this still won't be considered ahead of the likes of Smith, Groves, Dilks, Quigley, Dodson, Degale and Anderson in the domestic rankings imo

Agreed....and of all of them I fancy Groves to go the furthest.

Fantastic talent, would love to see him get it on with DeGale one day.

Brian's aiming high again I see.

Didn't float this idea when Quigley or Dodson were in it?

to be honest I cant really see the winner getting a shot at him. Its makes a story for a day but I cant believe that it is serious to be honest. Prizefighter attracts a big crossover audience and maybe Magee is just trying to tap into that on the eve of the show.

sbw.

Probably.

Tis true that in Smith and Groves he has much more plausible opponents.

More risk of course but...

This kind of highlights my postings of a few months about how unmarketable Magee is.... Its such a shame, all that talk of "options" if the Smith fight fell through.... Now HE is calling out the Prizefighter winner.... sounds like he cannot get a fight to me.

Such a sad pity, he is pushing on now.... good, good boxer. Deserves something higher profile (globally).

On this basis, i reckon Magee dodged Smigga fight. You can't tell me fighting winner of prizefighter Tourno is more prestigeous than fighting the current British SMw Champion.
I know Smigga is being repsectfull by saying he respects Magee and what he has acheived, which is quite right, but the cruz of the matter is this stinks of a dodge, which is sad, as the british public is denied a contest that would be truly competitive and entertaining

Why would anyone dodge 'Smigga' ? on the evidence of his last two fights (24 rounds of the worst boxing EVER seen) he has been exposed as flabby middleweight, with negligible punching power, leaky defence, poor temperament and suspect stamina

He's dreadful, Magee would stand him on his head with some ease

PS: I'm not a Magee fan by the way

:shame:

i think you KNOW you are talking bollocks.

Why did magee not go through with the purse bids for the proposed fight, and then delcare he wants the winnner of prizefughter.

If it ain't a dodge, i don't know what it is

Drake needs to retire - no because of ability but they have been two VERY heavy knockdowns in his last two fights.

And anoraks like meself that got in early enough to see Dilksy stopping him as well will know what I am talking about. Very worrying moments to be honest.

Here we go again....

You know nothing and what you say on anything on this forum is 2nd hand hearsay!
Yet more bollox from you.

Regarding Prizefighter: I would be slated to death for fighting the winner of this tournament. Fact.
I'm getting it now for my last 2 opponents(Both of whom would have won tonight!)

I will work for mandatory for Magee, he'll have nowhere to go then. :TU:

Smigga, Magge has become a joke in my eyes by not fighting you, and then calling out the winner of prizefighter. I really hope you get your crack at him. Can't wait to see when you are out next, and against who

I don't think i am.

The european champion won't fight the British champion, so wants to fight prizefighter winner instead.

F uck me it's like Klitchko saying he doesn't want to fight David Haye, and fighting Audley Harrison instead.
