Choc v Ryan Waters

Post by dan h »

I got the PPV tonight out of boredom, i wish I didn't but it was good to see the Leapai fight, even though it was stopped early.
Quick rundown from what I remember
Sam Leone and Brett smith fought out an exciting draw 39-37 37-38 38-38
I think Nathan Carrol won by KO in the 2nd
Matrevski Jr won by tko
Wood won by 4rd tko - loooked good in patches
Lepai won by TKO in the 4th after dominating some parts but nearly gettin Koed himself in the 3rd and 4th - Early stoppage
SBW beat the fatman
Mundine wion a 12rd ud 119-109

I wondered why ryan waters was being interviewed as I know there is strict restrictions on who can talk on a Boxa promotion. Waters was talking smack and I thought, why are the letting him get away with it. Bu then in tru WWE form waters jumped the ring challenging mundine after the fight and mundine rushed him and pushed. Here we go now, Mundine V Waters followed by Mundine V Wood - Look th world, lol. Mundine is farkin joking surely.

Anyway, Lepai was worth watching even though he got gifted the win he may have won it any way. Great fight Alex!!

i was surprized how many overhands the argie was able to land and how they seemed to effect mungbean, not sure if he got dropped by a punch or it was a slip later in the rounds though.
also expcected the other guy to have a little more in the tank towards the end but never the less he still suprized mundine a few times

I do not know why people get surprised when somebody goes the distance with Choc. His last KO win was against Clavero in 2007.

This is an obvious set up....hope Waters makes a decent purse out of the fight-- whenever it may happen.

When mundine rushed Waters notice that he leans in and whispers " I'm going to push you in the face" Waters responds"Ok'.

I had to rewind at least 7 times but me and a mate heard the pre rehersed stoush.

Its all a circus with Mundine......FFS Ryan waters vs Mundine, what next....I still want to know if Waters can get thru Luveni.

Tonight Robert Medley called Ryan Waters out and based on his performance tonight, Robert would be odds on to clean up Ryan.

Robert at 11 stone would give Mundine at the same weight a bit of trouble, but we know that will never happen, unless Robert changes his nationality to Argentine and Mundine loses his shonky bathroom scales.

I saw the "push" during tonights telecast for the first time....the chat between Waters and Mundine was heard clearly.
I also noticed during the highlights of Chocs fight the camera would pan out to the crowd every now and then. Looked like a very bored crowd !!

I am glad I am not the only one that notice mundine whisper in his ear

Had to laugh at a Courier mail article this morning about how mundine has never held a legit world title or beaten a raining champion. The it goes on to say that he is fighting Waters whose best win came over the female security guard he bashed. Waters is kidding himself as is Mundine

Had to laugh at Shannon taylors comments during the fights last night re Munidne calling everyone out and never stepping up. He was just saying what everyone has been saying for years. I noticed he was removed from commentary soon after !!

I'm glad you mentioned that, I wanted to bring it up myself. He said the exact right thing. What about the silence afterwards though!?! Andy and Chris didn't want to be the next person to talk and certainly weren't going to back him up

If he wants to fight for either title he will have to make 11 stone on a real set of scales, not the ones they sell in Big W.
