Is Vaitele Soi the next David Tua?????

What does anybody know about Vaitele Soi?? I haven't been to any shows he's been on and haven't caught any of his fights! Can somebody post anything they know about him. Cheers.

Anit even in the same class as Tua and doesnt have the power...Hasnt fought anyone so far of note..Saw his fight against Oscar Siale and was lucky to win in my book...Oscar got hammered by Moyoyo just 3 weeks ago and fights tonight against Dominic Vea...

I think Vitali will be just fine in due time. With more experience he will only get better and can make some noise at cruiserweight. I have sparred Moyoyo and Vitali I think Soi would beat him right now and in 6 months or so absolutly destroy Mensah. He has a good chin and he can punch at his weight.

Soi would beat Mensah right now, as Ctill said in 6 months or so hes crush Mensah. We aint rushing Soi theres no reason to the kids 22 and guys aint exactly lining up[ to fight him either!

2011 will be his comming out year the objective of this year was to get him plenty of fights keep him active and keep him in the gym improving and training hard which he has been doing!

Ive seen this kid fight as an amateur in Samoa, he was quite impressive then, but still too early in his pro career to call him an upcomming "Tua"

Over the years all sorts of people have said all sorts of fighters are the "next David Tua(s)". I hope this kid can be.... because after Tua there is no one realistically to carry that mantle, least in the foreseeable future. At this point of time there is no body even close to be the next Tua.... so in reality it is very foolish to even suggest this sort of thread topic.... but, let's hope someone can emerge and don't get packed off overseas as punch bait.

I always like the saying "Hes not the next David Tua hes the first Vaitele Soi"

Soi is young at 22 he has plenty of time to develop hes an exiciting fighter with some good skills, punching power and a eye pleasing style. He just needs some maturity, and patience when he fights. This comes with experience and age. Give the boy time. He needs the right people around him also, and this is a concern.

Either way if hes looked after properly i see no reason why he cannot go on and be a success!

Soi has fought at the ABA before, and will do again in the future, however hes mas a 100% confirmed fight September 14th here in Auckland and potentially another fight in August!
