Yeah, I looked it up- it's sort of a championship for some European counties, not exactly the same as the Euro belt.

The EBU are the sanctioning body for it tho and fighters who hold that belt end up fighting guys who are usually ranked within the EBU top20 and thus pushing on for a shot at the EBU title proper.

A lot of people slag this title off, but personally I think it's an untapped resource and I think some British fighters could do well out of it as like I say if you win it and defend it a few times suddenly you will find yourself as mandatory for the full belt.

Hall should gun for Sam Webb provided he wins this fight. Despite losing to Small, I think he should forget about Small. He's an awkward fecker to fight and at the same time now he's lost his titles to Webb he brings nothing to the table. I think Small will struggle to get fights now to be honest. No title, horrible style to watch, no fan base and controversial comments re:the army.......promoters dream..NOT!

Because of the styles, I think Hall should beat Webb. Give it a few more fights and a fight with Rhodes for the European title would be good provided Ryan hasn't moved on by then.

I actually like the EU title and it is generally well regarded in Ireland. The EBU wont give you an automatic ranking of any sort for winning the Irish title so they see the EU as the main stepping stone to a shot at the EBU title because it pretty much guarantees you a top 10 slot and will give you some preferential treatment with the EBU.

Yeah, it's short for 'European Union'. There is also a parallel belt, the 'External-European Union' for fighters outside the EU. They are both the stepping stones for the proper European title.

British Champion won't need to fight Hall, because Hall can go down another "title route." Such is boxing.
