I just saw this and am really really sad about LP's passing. I've enjoyed speaking to him at the Silver Gloves over the past 8 years and this past year, we got to talking about history and I could have talked to him for hours. I tried to but we had to actually get some boxing in. I asked him about Silver Gloves history and possibly getting some records from past Silvers and when I asked how far back he had records, he said "How far back do you want?". :) We talked a couple times after the Gloves and as promised one day I received a package with the past 20 years of Silver Gloves history -- some handwritten!! I had planned to put it all online, but got sidetracked on some other projects, but I will be spending the next month or two putting it all up in some format. I only knew him for a short period of time relative to his 86 years, but I will miss him and just wanted to leave a note hear about how much I enjoyed the time I did get to spend with him. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.
