OK, I'm in the middle of repubbing Edwin F. Shaw's "The Teacher of Sparring," 1886. I like to include biographical data on the blurbs I write but so far, the only thing I can find about Shaw is what he claims of himself in his book: i.e. he was an instructor at Harvard, "Hotel Berkeley, Evans House, and elsewhere in Boston," and that he "studied under the late Professor J. B. Bailey."
Anybody here have any better leads on this gent?
