Dimitrenko beat Yaroslav Zavorotnyy for the Vacant title at the weekend (those moaning at Sprott and Audley getting the shot before should check his record) and this holds some interest for some of the British heavyweights.
Audley has been made mandatory challenger despite Vacating the belt. If, as expected, a fight with Haye does not materialise should Audley be looking at this? Does he have any chance? Has he thrown away all his bargaining power by Vacating the title, it will now probably need a winning purse bid to get Dimitrenko to the UK which is surely an impossible task against (I think) Universum.
If Audley doesnt take the fight I expect the winner of Sexton v Chisora to be in the mix for a shot at it. How do you think those guys would fair?
Thoughts?

Harrison vacated the belt due to injury. I think it is fair that he was given the mandatory position in these circumstances.jameswilson wrote:Audley has been made mandatory challenger despite Vacating the belt.

Re: New European Heavyweight champ
Audley wont go anywhere near Dimitrenko
but a fight with Sexton or chisora is possible
or skelton
3 very nice fights...audley could frustrate the aging skelton but chis and sam would beat him

Where is Sosnowski now in the rankings?
Re: New European Heavyweight champ
NO.3 behind Valuev and Povetkin and also the mandatory challengers, Harrison et Bakhtov.stujones wrote:Where is Sosnowski now in the rankings?

Disagree on Chisora. He has had it all his way in nearly every fight and hasn't faced any kind of adversity at all really. Yeah he beat Sexton but going off what someone has said on here who saw the fight, he was losing at the time of the stoppage and it was a bit of a dubious one. I expect Sexton to beat Chisora when they have their meeting and I don't expect Chisora to feature above Domestic level, he doesn't have much power at all in my opinion and he is a small heavyweight.funso banjo baby wrote:Audley wont go anywhere near Dimitrenko

I'v shot myself in the foot a bit because some on here seem to think Haye vs Harrison is pretty sealed. But if that doesn't happen (and I hope it doesn't) then I'd like to see Harrison vs Skelton. It was a real shame that Skelton had to pull out when they were due to face off and just for all times sake I think it should happen.
