Is everyone here 'at work'?

Post by Loftgroov »

How many of you are skiving like me then? It's good to have project work up on screen with the forum in the background.

Just incase you wondered why your local taxes keep going up, well....this is why!

Won't be long before I'm sacked I'm sure.....

I'm supposedly writing a journal article for the Journal of Sports Science. My co-worker (whcih was my university lecturer) is begining to ask questions - all I'm saying is "still in the research stage".

I should get it done in the next few weeks, will let you know if/when its being published.

Good Question.
I'm at work. I am an Software Developer specialising in developing Web Servers technologies so as part of my job, I need to use the internet. :)
I have boxrec open in an explorer window most of the day and check for new posts frequently.
Sometimes i'm too busy to visit boxrec in a day....but not usually.

Fortunately I get to use the internet as much as I like as the closest my boss gets to London these days is Basingstoke.

Which is nice.

I work for NHS Direct, and we have several authorised websites we require for our work, so, yes, I have the BoxRec forum hovering in the background. It's a hard life.

Read Deal, are you a postie/or milkman?

Remember Andy Till? He was a double hard milkman...

and Bernard Paul was a nails postie, so you are in good company if you are!

I'm the IT Manager of a company in the film industry with my own office so I can do basically what the fornicate I like, within reason and as long as my work gets done and deadlines are met. We have Internet logs which are regularly scanned for excessive activity. Guess who scans them? You got it...

I also post on several IT forums and one or two football forums!!

I wish I could just get a full time job talking about football and boxing!

Wonder what Andy Till is doing now. I remember towards the end of his career he got a job as a baggage handler at Heathrow Airport and he was complaining that he was putting on weight because of the gaps inbetween flights when he would be drinking tea and eating biscuits with the rest of the lads. It summed up the life of a boxer, really.

Hmmm wonder if we work for the same company Goz?!

I work for one of the American studios, on the film technical side, so I'm left to my own devices.
Nearest my boss gets is Los Angeles - by the time he gets up I'm on my way home!

I wish I worked for an American studio! I am sometimes based out of Pinewood though which is ok.

I'm not really that involved in the film side of things though, I'm the network guy, what I do I could do for a vacum cleaner company or even Sports Network!
