European Scene?

Post by Eric the Viking »

While the British Scene Forum is currently dominated by UK-related posts and posters, I wonder if it wouldn't be a good idea to try to be a bit more inclusive and change the name to European Scene? (You Brits would be allowed to keep your own currency, no worries there.) In many cases you can't divorce the UK scene from what's happening on the continent, since there are many cross-channel rivalries.

Your thoughts?

I joined BoxRec specifically because of the British forum and would hate it to become a more impersonal continental forum. Boxingtalk.com has a European forum incorporating the British scene, and it just doesn't work. It's dead on there.
We give a mention to European fights of course, and the big fights in the States, but to me this forum deals with wholly British issues and always will. I know we're getting bigger on here, but the way to deal with it is not to diversify. If anything, we need to concentrate more fully on British issues, incorporating gym gossip, results from ringside and other up to the minute information, along with the usual British chat.
At the end of the day, this is a British forum. Anything else, and it just wouldn't be the same.

Right on Bennie, we do not need an European scene forum.
What we need is a "dutch scene" forum!, GO DUTCH SONNY LISTON!
