Mmmmm ...... very intriguing...... reading between the lines one can only alledge the SN are very confident about the Scott Harrison vs Manuel Medina bout going their way this time. The Barrera vs Pacquio winner is supposed to be facing the winner.

I can see Hatton calling out MAB if he beats Tackie. P4P top ten ranked fighter, Featherweight, perfect.

McCoy would predict Barrera by KO in the early rounds :D

Even though Hatton has the weight advantage, man he looked like a damn Cruiserweight on 'Superstars'

Yeah, all that posturing about leaving ESB for good if Harrison loses, building yourself up a rep on here just in case Scott gets beaten. You'll just pop over to Boxrec and do your posting here, Goz sees what you're up to you sly old fox.

Hatton on superstars

Post by jamesmcdonnell »

I missed it, was he really fat and out of shape?

When i went to the Hatton v Tackie announcement press conference, Hatton looked pretty out of shape, very fat around the mush, and I've heard he has a tendency to baloon in weight between fights.

How did he do on superstars, most boxers do really badly on account of the fact that on the off season when not fighting they get badly out of shape, and compared to other top flight atheletes aren't that fit generally.

He got the record lowest score. 2 points.
I think he may have picked them up in the football and rowing.
May I remind you that the snooket player got about 8 points.

Not just one forum or as they say in Italy not justa one forum but ALL forums no kidding

McCoy is here simply because he likes the forum, nothing more, nothing less

Nevermind mate, there's always the Marquez bandwagon to jump onto.

I'm trying to think of something to post about what I watched last night but I don't really know what to say. Paquiao was just awesome. He beat the guy most thought was unbeatable. He destroyed him. I didn't think Barrera appeared undermotivated or lacking in conditioning, he just couldn't cope with the speed and strength of the little monster.

People love Morales but he's definitely safer now that he's left the featherweight division. He was getting tired just out-boxing Barrera, but this little Phillipino kept coming with fast bombs all night. And he had the punching power to do to Barrera what Junior Jones could not do in their rematch.

I didn't pick Paquiao with any certainly whatsoever but I was very worried for Barrera. Too many easy fights against the like of Kelley and Tapia. Was he prepared for this kind of punching power and aggression? Had he ever had to face that before?? He was supposed to against Naz but we all know what happened there.

Another great upset for 2003. Hatton/Calzaghe watch the f*ck out!!

Kilburn,
I guess Barrera’s UK trip is still on. :o

In today’s Mexican tabloid Esto, 11/18/03
In an interview, Barrera said he will vacation first in Japan then in England and return to Mexico for the holidays.
Then he will make up his mind about his future after conferring with his parents & Rudy Perez who he considers his second father.

By the way, did anyone notice during the commentary on Sunday, Rawling kept saying Barerra had Tapia on the back of his shorts out of respect for his good friend Johnny Tapia.

I thought it was his mothers maiden name? Am I wrong, did I imagine this?

Put it this way, John Rawling don't know what he's on about. You are right.
