Post by geoffburt07 »

ok whats ur dream fight or fights!? It can be anyone from any era time is not a issue, but its has to be concievable so weight does matter, so you can have mayweather v ali! So if both fighter was alive and in they're prime now they could get it on! Here is a few of mine... Foreman v Tyson, Ali v Tyson, Marciano v Frazer, Ray Robinson v Haggler, Ray Leonard v Mayweather, Lamotta v Hatton...? So whats your bream fights?

All those fights sound good except for Lamotta v Hatton. How do you come up with a fight like that as being a dream fight? More like a nightmare for Hatton. This would not be even a contest with Lamotta smashing Hatton to little pieces in the first round.

Hatton wasn't a natural 140 pounder. Maybe at the very beginning of his career, but by the time he was in championship form he was shifting 10+ lbs. of water to make the weight. In LaMotta's era he'd have been a Welterweight, but you've got the rest right, he'd have been destroyed.

It really isn't, if you want both men anywhere near their best.

For me, my dream fights would be the following.

Kelly Pavlik v Arthur Abraham to see would be the best Middleweight of the last 10 years
Arturo Gatti v Ricky Hatton so we all got a 12 round barn burner that went back and forth
Lennox Lewis v Wladimir K: We all know happened when Lewis went in with Vitali but I am curious to see how he would have stacked up against the younger Wladimir who is the more fluid puncher of the two.

Jose Napoles v Floyd Mayweather
Joe Calzaghe v Steve Collins and Nigel Benn: Calzaghe stated that he regretted not being around at the time when their peak as he felt he could have made as much as much in those fights and Chris Eubank in his whole career.

Lewis would've put Wladimir to sleep within 3. Wlad has no chin and would've been posterized like Rahman was.

Indeed, he is. Hopkins of 2000-2004 beats any Middle from the last ten years, hands down.

Bernard Hopkins is the best middleweight of the last ten years.
My apologies.
But Hopkins v Abraham would be a good fight too

Foreman vs Tyson in their primes?!?! please! Foreman knocks out Tyson.

Marciano vs Frazier: Marciano came off the deck to knock out multiple opponents...marciano by knock out 7th round.

Robinson vs Hagler: GREATEST FIGHT IN MIDDLE WEIGHT HISTORY! Robinson would be dragged into a brawl and Hagler would eventually knock him out in the later rounds. I see it playing out like Cotto vs Margarito.

Mayweather vs Leonard: WOW tough decision. Floyd has better defense, you could say a better chin cuz hes never been dropped. Leonard has a slight advantage in speed, better power. equal foot movement. DRAW.

Lamotta vs Hatton: Hatton is a bum plain and simple what a chump, if Collazo was able to rock him and he has noooo power then i see Lamotta knocking him out.

I dont understand why people would like to see Tyson vs Ali. WHY? look what a chump buster Douglas did to Tyson. Ali was ten times better than Douglas. Give me a break. Ali in round 8.

Hagler couldn't even dispense with an old, bloated Duran.
