Does anybody know what happened to Sammy Reeson the first British Cruiserwight champion of the modern era? After his KO loss to Carlos DeLeon for the World title he seemed to vanish from the Boxing scene.
If I recall correctly his trainer/manager died just before the DeLeon fight, maybe this was a factor?
Any info fight fans? 8)
Sammy Reeson
Yes, his manager Tony Lavelle was killed in a freak accident on the M6 when the car being driven by boxer Keith Bristol to a show in Manchester, flipped the central reservation into oncoming traffic.
No idea what Sammy is doing now. He was a nice southpaw boxer, but, God, he was boring to watch. No power.
