Johnny Nelson v Sven Ottke - could it happen?!!

Post by MightyWarrior »

Say Sven steps up to take on Nelson, after Johnny wins tomorrow in a 8 knockdown brawl.

How do we see it going? Would it be like that round that Willie Pep famously won without throwing a punch, except over 12 rounds?
The total punch stats would probably break all known records and be in single figures.

This fight has to be made, the German public deserve it!!

Zzzzzzzzz I take it your taking the Michael.

Nelson pts. But about as much chance of it happening as Holyfield winning the Undisputed championship.

Mighty Warrior, I was just about to post something on Nelson. You read my mind! According to the Sporting Life website, Skybet are posting odds of 12/1 on Petkovic winning on points tomorrow night. I checked out Skybet, but they are only offering odds on the Barrera fight at present. Maybe they'll be posting the Nelson-Petkovic odds tomorrow. But 12/1 for a German in Germany has got to be worth a few quid.
And I wonder what the odds on a draw will be!

William Hill online is pretty good for boxing betting. Coral's is awful - I couldn't get odds on Starie vs Ottke (thank god cause I would have lost £20).

Can't believe they're offering 12/1!! I'll defintely put a few quid on that, I've got a feeling the German will win this one, Nelson looked so bad last time out..
Think Manny Pac might be worth a long shot bet too, if the odds are good.
He might suprise an overconfident Barrera with some big hitting.

If it sounds too good to be true, it normally is. Just checked the odds on Skybet on Petkovic beating Johnny Nelson tonight on points and he's 7/2. So God knows what the Sporting Life were on about suggesting 12/1 on their website.
You can get 33/1 on a draw, which might be worth a fiver.
