make no doubt about it , he is a great talker and a total hype machine.
he positioned himself for a shot at the heavyweight title very quicky by challenging and making outrageous claims about beating everyone in sight.
valuev took the bait and haye beat him , haye marketed that fight very very well and i think it was posted on here that haye drew close to 1m ppvs in the uk in which he got £5 in every £14.95 paid.
to make upwards of £3-4m for a title shot is great going and now hes doing the same vs the overmatched and average harrison.
harrison is no more than a british title level fighter , he got lucky in winning the european title by beating a guy who is also a british title level guy
this fight makes sense in the uk only and already it will be promoted so well by both
i still expect haye to ko harrison within 4 rounds , if not haye hasnt done the job right and again i expect to see huge ppv figures for this fight.
after this he must fight a klitscko , the build up to one of these fights would be amazing and a throw back to teh days of ali.
ps: the nov 13 fight is ppv , the pacman fight is the 13th nov , will sky be covering both?????? what a night of boxing if sky do this
whatever you think of david haye....
Re: whatever you think of david haye....
Agree with almost all of this, Bob. Good calls there.
Plus, I really respect the fact he and Adam have done it THEIR way, even though they've rubbed almost everyone up the wrong way doing it.

Re: whatever you think of david haye....
cheers ian
when he does get past harrison then he must fight a klitscko , i just hope the WBA dont insist he fights chagaev , although its a decent fight the haye vs a klitscko must happen
vs wladimir , i think its who lands first and who takes the better shot , haye is faster though
vs vitali , harder fight although how much has vitali left , speed again could be vital

Re: whatever you think of david haye....
I also find myself agreeing with he majority of your points Bob - well made...
Whilst I also expect Haye to dispatch Harrison swiftly -he does have to ensure he doesn't get complacent in there and ensures he secures mych Bigger fights against the Brothers.

Re: whatever you think of david haye....
He's raising the profile of boxing in UK, which can only be a good thing. Perhaps that's part of reason why TV (though pay tv) is just starting to increase coverage.
I hope he doesn't have to fight a mandatory, if he attempts a fight with a Klitchsko then surely he could take advantage of some 'super champion' nonsense?
