Best Prospect.

We seem to be inuntated with quality British prospects these days... Names like Haye, Froch, Doherty, Arthur, Mitchell etc (there's loads more).

They all seem to be competing with each other for the title best prospect. We have the (frankly laughable) suggestion that Carl Froch is the best prospect in world boxing (Cotto anyone??). Today, Bunce was arguing the case that Haye is our outstanding prospect.

In your opinion who is the best prospect in the land, who do you think will make world honours (if any or maybe all of them). At the moment I'm undecided, so I'll hear your arguments before posting mine.

Prospect as in young? (Froch, Haye etc)
Prospect overall? (Skelton, Fraudley etc)

I do believe that Carl Froch is so overrated, being built up by the Propanganda machines that are Henessey Sports and the BBC. I was being told the other day that Eastman could beat Hopkins

Thats how overrated their fighters are!

I have also read that Haye could beat Nelson and Maccarinelli NOW!

I really, really like Matt Skelton and do reckon he is the current 'Dark Horse' in the British Heavyweight scene and do believe he has the potential to be on the World Stage. He might not have age on his side but he has stayed well active and has the talent

Did anyone else catch that pathetic trailer for Froch's dec 13 fight on Grandstand?
That was just a little too much, almost American.
Anyway Alan Page is a good opponent, although i've never seen him.

Surely the fact that Froch and Haye were the first English amateurs to win medals at the world championships points to their pedigree. Would you guys really bet on Enzo M to beat Haye?

A year or two, I'd expect Haye to win

All I am stating is that they are extremely overrated

The trailer for Carl Froch was so full of Bullshit, but the average sports fan will buy it. Thats all the BBC care about.

Right now Haye would be KO'd by Nelson, Thompson and co.
In a couple of years who knows. The Mock knockdown still worries me. Just look at Mocks record and weights.

I feel that one of our best overall prospects is Roman Greenberg.
He will prove this by dethroning Sanil Sam within the next two years.

I cant see Danny Willliams doing it.

Greenberg isone of the best prospects, but for me, Liverpool based light middle Geard Adjetovic is the best prospect by some distance. Geard is 4-0.

By the time Adjetovic is 10-0 I would favour him to KO the likes of Wayne Alexander. Adjetovic went 310-15 as an amateur and has every punch in the book. Watch out for him. He is a great prospect.

So TT Haye and Froch are overrated. Funny I wonder how you'd feel about them if they were Welsh.

Good call, Ajetovic does look very impressive at the level in which he is fighting.

I've seen him twice against Gary Beardsley in Reading, and last time out against Joel Ani in Sheffield. Very compact, good defence, hurtful counter puncher, who has a style made for the pro game.

Nice article on Eastside, I didnt know that he shared amateur experience with Greenberg.

David Walker is made for Adjetovic. IMO Geard would KO Walker now. Walker is a nice kid, who has good power but he's too damn easy to hit and gets very ragged when jabbed regularly.

The fact that Froch and Haye are getting BBC backing can only help there cause.

I also feel Greenberg could go far

Even though Mitchall has only had 3 fights, he just seems to have that special something about him
