Re: Mundine v Waters
round 1 - 10/9 mundine
Re: Mundine v Waters
any legal streams to the fight on the net through international cable networks?!
Re: Mundine v Waters
Thansk hussien, can you pls give us run down of how the fighters look and if waters is competive during the fight.
I have a slight interest but wasn't paying for that card. Undercard match ups we not ppv worthy which didn't make up for the main event not being so either

Re: Mundine v Waters
Did choc actually make weight this time or did he weigh in on his own scales again?
Re: Mundine v Waters
waters yet to connect Mundine. Mundine's right uppercut is connecting almost every single time, he looks so good tonight. Waters already looks hurt. Another 10-9 round.

Whoops, I forgot the fight was still underway.dberry wrote:The fight has already happened, Mundine by decision.

Re: Mundine v Waters
waters trying to rough up Mundine, landed a few solid blows but mundine with the scoring punches. Waters pressuring but choc countering superbly. a bit of showboating from waters in round 3 but another 10-9 Mundine round

I love jokes, however this clown denigrates something that I was once involved in, and very proud of.
Re: Mundine v Waters
Waters continues to pressure Mundine, was probably ahead until the last 40 seconds of the round. Choc fighiting off the ropes, finishes the rounnd strongly and takes it again 10-9. Mundine cut from above the eye (accidental head clash)
Re: Mundine v Waters
round 5: waters giving it his all, Mundines cut worsening. Referee rules it from an accidental headbutt. Probably an even round.
Re: Mundine v Waters
Round 6: both fighters not doing much but waters looks to have slowed down a little, not pressuring like the earlier rounds and barely landed a punch. Mundine relying on his jab in this round. 10-9 Mundine
Re: Mundine v Waters
Round 7: Waters tiring, Mundine landing the clean hits but nothing that's really hurting waters, the pressure of waters is no longer present. Waters warned about the headbutting, one more and 1 pt deducted
10-9 mundine
10-9 mundine
Re: Mundine v Waters
round 8: dominant mundine round although did look tired in the final 10 seconds.
Re: Mundine v Waters
This is what the SMH said about some of the prelims;
Former NRL player Garth Wood barely got a warm-up for his showdown with Anthony Mundine later this year with a first-round knockout win over Indonesian Elvin Marbun in Wollongong on Wednesday night.
Fighting on the undercard for Mundine's light-middleweight WBA world title eliminator with Ryan Waters at the WIN Entertainment Centre, Wood dropped his opponent with a sweet right hook less than two minutes into the bout..
The former South Sydney player is due to fight Mundine in a middleweight bout in December after winning reality TV series The Contender in January.
He had hoped to showcase his improvement on Wednesday night but was offered little opposition from Marbun, who went eight rounds with Waters in March.
"I didn't really get out of a sweat but when I hit them they stay hit, so things are happening," said 32-year-old Wood, who improved his record to 9-1, 5KOs.
Earlier, impressive Sydney fighter Billy "The Kid" Dib proved much too classy for Filipino veteran Jack Asis, with a fourth-round stoppage in their lightweight bout.
Dib, the IBF's No.5 featherweight, landed a series of devastating body punches against Asis to improve his record to 29-1, 17 KOs.
Johannes Mwetupunga defended his Australian middleweight title with a unanimous decision win over a valiant Kurt Bahram.

Re: Mundine v Waters
Round 9: Mundines best round so far, completely dominating waters, waters wobbling in this round. Choc was looking to finish him this round and the ref ruled a standing 8 count just before the bell. 10/8 Mundine
Re: Mundine v Waters
round 10: waters KO'd.
Mundine wins.
Mundine wins.
Re: Mundine v Waters
Thanks for rbr hussein, your a champ
Re: Mundine v Waters
Haven't seen Mundine look that ordinary since Siaca. Unfortunately I don't think he's going to bother any of the best fighters in the world on that form. I only gave two rounds to Waters (4th and 5th from memory) but still I think the move down to light middleweight is proving to be a mistake.
The Aussie title fight was the fight of the night. I don't think either are genuinely world class, but it was still the best fight to watch.

Mundine did say he will fight Garth Wood in December and that will be his last fight against an Australian before "testing new waters"

Re: Mundine v Waters
Did anyone catch Andy Green's fight? I see it was a first round ko win, his fourth in five fights. Time to step up, methinks.
Re: Mundine v Waters
Ive hear rumours of Mundines opponent after Garth Wood. If there true he better be in better shape than tonight as that guy wont tire and hits a hell of a lot harder than Waters.
