I really enjoyed going to the site everyday and finding all the amateur boxing news in one place. I read the articles and referred others to the site. However, the site has not been updated in over a month now. It seems as if Jonathan Thyng's motivation and drive to support USA Boxing's amateur boxing program went south after the USA Boxing National Championships. For those who haven't heard he was told that he could not post videos of the tournament on the internet. It was ridiculous and may have been the impetus for him not updating the FrontPageBoxing.com website.
Anyone have any thoughts on the topic?

I agree Johnathon was hustling putting things out there for us Coaches, Fans, Families.
Was nice knowing someone was getting the sport out there.

He's taking a well deserved break. A lot of these online sites, like Jonathan are one-man operations. . .run by individuals that have day jobs/full-time careers. It's amazing what technology allows us to do, but again sometimes it's just one person with no budgets--just a passion for what they do. Sometimes you just need a break from it all. I know I do. The time spent running multiple sites is ten times what you would think. . .and then it can all take on a life of its own until literally there isn't enough time in the day to keep up.
Just keep giving him feedback and maybe you can lure him back.

Kullen,
Trust me I know how amateur boxing can take on a life of its own. I appreciate you and Jonathan and others who do devote significant time to the sport. I hope he starts back with the website and it catches on even more. The more our sport can attract fans and supporters, the more likely it is that we can get corporate sponsors, advertisers, etc. It might then force TV networks to put amateur boxing on TV. We are a long way away, but who knows.

Re: What happened to FrontPage Amateur Boxing?
http://www.standnfight.com Covers a lot of professional events and fast breaking news, But as an Employee of Stand N Fight I Been Telling Our Editor I Would Like to Start Covering A Lot More Amateur Events and News. I Mentioned to Him At Least Once a Week We Should Do an Article on a Amateur Stand Out As Well As Daily Amateur News and Events. He Agreed, So I Got The Green Light. As a Father of An Amateur I Know What It's Like to Not Be Able to Go and Find a Website And Find Out Whats Happening In The Amateur Ranks. I Know There Isn't Too Many Sites That Cover Amateur Boxing. So Please If There Are Any Suggestions Anyone Would Like to Make to Help Us Improve The Amateur Part of The Site Please Do So.
Ps, Our Amateur Section Is Located Under Forum. You Can Make Suggestions There. When We Run 1 on 1 Amateur Articles They Will Be Visible Through Out The Site...Thank You for Your Time & Consideration.
