He as many refs do could have been picky and interefering every time they got in close, he could have been pushing his way in and stopping the action, instead he let it flow.
The heads were inevitably banging together quite a bit but instead of panicking he realised this was always going to happen as the two fighters only fight one way, so he let them get on with it, within reason, instead of risking breaking the action and thereby the continuity of the contest.
He did not panic about borderline blows as again both fighters were wading away to the body and best of all he realised when one man had simply taken his limit and called a halt.
Often moan about them - thought it was about time we said something positive where its deserved.
