I think this is a rare mistake by allegedly (he did however do really well getting the fight) but Chisora could get a potensial career ending pummeling! He has never been past domestic level so not only does he not deserve the shot but he is nowhere near ready for it.

Take the shot while it's there, it might not come again.
Fighting the best, isn't that we want?
Wlad is not superhuman.
Ok, he's a lot better than Chisora, but you never know what might happen.
I see him being more ambitious than the parade of fat Yanks the Klits have taken on in recent years...good luck Derek.

PS I wouldn't call Haye a pussy after manning up and taking on Valuev (who many thought would KO him), Enzo Macc (pre-series of devastating KOs) and Mormeck...

"Chisora is young, quick and a hard puncher," said Wladimir Klitschko.
Who's he trying to fool?
Did anyone see Chisora on SKY Ringside? He just shrugged when asked what his gameplan would be against Wlad, doesn't sound or look like he's even thought about it.

Fair points...often fighters go from being hungry to bloated when they achieve their goals.....Cardiff-Lad1 wrote:Fair play but this whole saga with Klitschko has put all that on the back burner for me. Haye is the number 1 HW in Britain, yet Chisora is the one going into the lions den for the fight. Haye has made a fortune in his career compared to Chisora, yet Chisora is the one who is taking the fight for peanuts apparently.Captain Hook wrote:PS I wouldn't call Haye a pussy after manning up and taking on Valuev (who many thought would KO him), Enzo Macc (pre-series of devastating KOs) and Mormeck...

If Haye was that concerned about his 'legacy' then money would be irrelevant and he'd fight Klitschko.
People might not agree but thats my opinion......

Chisora is contracted to fight Vitali should he do the almost impossible against Wlad. Good luck to him, if Haye upset the brothers in the build up I'd be suprised if Chisora didn't. Then again, perhaps they don't mind so much when they are convinced they will win...

I was thinking the same, he'll somehow really piss them off.JamesH wrote:'Del Boy' said:

Surprise surprise, K2 brothers force him to take the shitty end of the purse and tie him up in contractual stuff.
Who the hell dictates that he "rematch" his brother?

To be fair though if he does beat Wlad then the only option I would be intrested next would be unifying so Vitali would be the sensible option, no?orbtastic wrote:Surprise surprise, K2 brothers force him to take the shitty end of the purse and tie him up in contractual stuff.

These two are so bad for boxing, oh to have a Muhammad Ali or peak Lewis or Tyson around now to reaffirm our faith in the division...
Re: Klitschko vs Chisora signed for 11th Dec!!
We all know that is never in a million years going to happen - So why is Wlad so scared he has to mandate a fight with Vitali?
We also all know that whoever beats Wlad will not go straight into the second hardest fight out there and attempt to unify, it will not happen. Everyone has a gimme defence.
The pair of them are scared stiff of someone holding those titles and shutting the door in their faces and earning power. While they hold those titles they have a license to print money...not Mike Tyson money but pretty good for the pair of them.
Chisora is not a puncher, he is reasonably quick for a heavyweight and does chuck some leather but he takes breathers mid-rounds and his best wins are Sexton and a completely shot Williams. That is not good prep for taking on someone with 49 career KOs from 55 fights - The general consensus number 1 in an admittedly poor division but a man who is significantly: taller, better skilled, better conditioned, vastly more experienced, the better boxer, the better athlete etc etc.
Wlad will jab jab jab and wear him down, he may be safety first and boring at times but he can do it for 12 rounds. Chisora has never been 12 rounds and only gone beyond 6 rounds 3 times. He will be there the whole fight.

Re: Klitschko vs Chisora signed for 11th Dec!!
Maybe I've been watching allegedly fights for too long, but IF he beats Wlad surely he should be able to fight someone else first and make some proper money before fighting Vitali. I doubt they'd pay Del Boy much for the fight with Vitali either so a well deservd payday is on order first, surely? K2 aren't the best payers around that's for sure.alexpaterson wrote:To be fair though if he does beat Wlad then the only option I would be intrested next would be unifying so Vitali would be the sensible option, no?orbtastic wrote:Surprise surprise, K2 brothers force him to take the shitty end of the purse and tie him up in contractual stuff.

valuev is a joke, mormeck was shot and macerinelli has always been mediocre....Captain Hook wrote:PS I wouldn't call Haye a pussy after manning up and taking on Valuev (who many thought would KO him), Enzo Macc (pre-series of devastating KOs) and Mormeck...

Can you believe the IBF have included Mormeck in their four man tourney?

For some reason when I wrote allegedly in my post above it has turned into allegedly? Why is this?
Re: Klitschko vs Chisora signed for 11th Dec!!
It's not them its everyone else. It's up to the next Ali, Lewis or Tyson to appear. You can't blame the K bros for staying active & clearing out a division of undeserving challengers. That's what they're supposed to do.Captain Hook wrote:These two are so bad for boxing, oh to have a Muhammad Ali or peak Lewis or Tyson around now to reaffirm our faith in the division...

Del boy needs to come out all guns blazing from the first bell and try and take him out in the 1st or 2nd, to stand any chance
Re: Klitschko vs Chisora signed for 11th Dec!!
100% agree...try take him out whilst you got the energy! eating all those jabs and having 18 stone of him grabbing you all night saps your energy quickly......Bennyblanco wrote:Del boy needs to come out all guns blazing from the first bell and try and take him out in the 1st or 2nd, to stand any chance

Hindsight is great isn't it? There wasn't too many people who said any of those things prior to the fights.
Re: Klitschko vs Chisora signed for 11th Dec!!
This is where the Boxing Authorities need to have some kind of input what can be put into contract agreements.orbtastic wrote:Surprise surprise, K2 brothers force him to take the shitty end of the purse and tie him up in contractual stuff.

Just out of interest if Del did beat Wlad and then refused to fight Vitali. Realistically what can they do? As surely the mandatory challenger should be next to challenge Del?

I'm not sure how clear cut it is with regard to rematch clauses. Just how legal are they?wadey wrote:This is where the Boxing Authorities need to have some kind of input what can be put into contract agreements.orbtastic wrote:Surprise surprise, K2 brothers force him to take the shitty end of the purse and tie him up in contractual stuff.

A boxer could surely get out of it by citing injury or other reasons not to fight, until they had to fight their mandatory. In theory, they only have to face their mandatory within a year of winning the title, and let's be honest, even that isn't exactly enforced with any great alactrity by the sanctioning bodies.
Re: Klitschko vs Chisora signed for 11th Dec!!
It's also alarming as to why they have never been forced to fight each other or vacate. As at some point they must of been mandatory opponents for each other.
I'm not saying I know a great deal about the legal wranglings in Boxing. But it doesn't do the sport any good while they are allowed to get away with both of the points mentioned.
