Best paying british promoter?

Post by kamicazze »

I understand that the hattons pay very well, here im not just on about in house fighters but also how well they pay the opposition and run of the mill journey men. Also how they treat them with things such as accomadation and travel fees

it has been alleged that 'away' fighters do not get well looked after by HP in terms of accomodation and so forth.

check old threads, one involving Jane couch's lads would imply otherwise.

Barry Hearn's company pays well and always puts fighters up in nice digs the night before and the night of the fight if needed and pays travel expenses. :TU:

It is actually pretty hard to argue with Hearn as a top paying promoter

With prizefighter he also gives lesser known fighters and prospects a chance at big money

That was the Newport show 3 of our lads and 3 of Nick Hodges lads boxed on the show for the same money they would box for a small promoter It was when they were first starting out as a promotional company with no TV danny Butler and Paul Samuels boxed a 10 rounder for £1500
Like i said it was when they were first starting out so the lads boxed for what they would box for on a small promotion They were happy to do it to help The Hattons out as is hard when you first start promoting
Nobody was having a go at them for only paying what a small promoter was paying the lads were happy to do it and on the 3 other shows we promoted for them that was the same It was nice to help get them started
I also put them in contact with Sport Uk which is now Hatton Tv So I think I did a great job of getting them started off and would help anyone trying to get into the promoting world

in terms of your standard boxer on a 1-2 year contract with a promoter Warren pays best, but he only signs the best.

i guess at 3 days notice to box an olympian you have to pay over the odds.

So in term sof Hatton does anybody think the "Man City effect" occurs the idea that just because everybody knows Hatton is rolling in it the price for a fight immediatly goes up by 40% ? And as a result everytime he needs a fighter or approaches a fighter they know that they can milk more out of him?

fighters manager will know a few things

1) Hattons are in-expirienced, managers can take advantage of this.
2) Hattons do not have Ricky as there marquee fight so will need to put on the best shows possible to impress Sky.
