Does it get hot in the MEN?

Post by MacTavish »

Going to Bury Vs Stockport during the day so will be wrapped up warm.
Winter barbour jacket, gloves, maybe even a scalf.

If I was going to the MEN straight after i.e. not going back to my hotel to get changed will I be "over-layered"? I'm worried I might be sweltering.

Surely it must be quite hot otherwise the ringcard girls would be smuggling peanuts if there is a chill in the air?

Any advice (like all the good food recommendations) greatfully received!

:box:

P.S. Less than 10 days to go till the big one now!

When its sold out, like for this fight, the bars will be packed and very warm.At Hatton-Tszyu it was like being in a rugby scrum trying to get a drink.

I was there - it was proper mental. The bars were 20 deep - the problem with that night was that the main event didn't start till near 4am though the MEN specified entry by midnight = near on 20,000 people using the bar for 4hrs. Hopefully this won't be so bad.

AND - I'm not in the upper tier this time so I hope it's a bit more chilled without the hoi palloi...

I'll phone them to see if they have a coat room! :DD

I don't know what it will be like in November, but i've been in the top tier in April and the heat was unbearable. The air con pipes running hot and the stale air coming up from the floor meant a couple of people actually fainted in the block I was in.

I was there last November and once full, it's a bit muggy. But no big deal.
