Re: Best British PPV's
Mag 7 was a great all round show for the deciated fans, but didn't seem to grasp the attention of the more casual/neurals.
To us, 5 or 6 long fights is ace, to other people, it's a bit of a chore to sit through them!!

That's the one that always springs to mind, especially as it was followed with Tyson-Holyfield 1.banjo wrote:This probably http://boxrec.com/show_display.php?show_id=7442
The one which featured Calzaghe-Eubank and Naz-Badillo was also a good one.
Naz-Soto was a quality PPV, even if the main event fell flat. US undercard featured Morales-McCullough and the UK leg had about 4 or 5 very solid fights.
Also Lewis-Grant, with a great support in Ingle-Jones in the US and Holmes-McCracken in the UK.

Lewis-Botha was a great card, shame about the main event:

Benn vs Collins 2 was NOT on PPV. It was free. Tyson was on PPV yes.
The Reid vs Wharton card was quite stacked.

Oh well it was more than half my lifetime ago.
Re: Best British PPV's
They used the Benn vs Collins 2 to hype up the PPV.... every ad break it mentioned order now - thats how I remember.
It was the same for Holyfield vs Tyson 2 - The Hide vs Tucker bill (although given alot of air time in the countdown shows) was free.

Yes - THAT is how to treat a world heavyweight title promotion with the respect it deserves, Hayemaker.bruthead wrote:Lewis-Botha was a great card, shame about the main event:
