Anyone here know if 1930's heavyweight contender,Lorenzo Pack had ever published the autobiography
that he was working on in 1969-1970?
Its title was to be.
THIS BLACK CAT HAS 9 LIVES.

I was just curious to know if anyone knows if this autobiography was ever published or had ever turned up?
I did read the Barry Gordy(of Motown fame)purchased the manuscript from
Lorenzo Pack around 1974,.and there was talk of making it into a Hollywood movie.
(with music by Stevie Wonder).
IMOP most likely the manuscript is still in Berry Gordy's personal library.

I had read that Lorezo Pack's boxing career went down hill after he was seriously thumped in the eye by Tony Galento in 1937.

Berry Gordy trained at the Brewster Gym in Detroit under Eddie Futch.
As a featherweight, Gordy had a professional fight on the undercard of the
Joe Louis-Vern Mitchell 6 round exhibition in Detroit November.1948.

BTW Did you know that Floyd Patterson had participated in an earlier autobiography before VICTORY OVER MYSELF?
but it was never published.
Patterson rejected the manuscript of I NEVER PRAY TO WIN for publication in 1961
because he felt that"It just wasnt me talking".
The co-author Alfred Mann had followed Patterson to Europe with a tape-recorder.
I wonder where the manuscript is now?
