New Season

Post by armageto »

Any idea what weight class, what fighters/trainers, what managers are playing, any new changes, etc?

I fancy some heavy knockouts with the heavyweights.

Thought you'd spat your dummy out and left, Geto?

I'm in debate......

I'd like to see a rule change as far as how dropped fighters are picked up. We had guys dropping 2nd round trash for top 15 guys with an established record.

I like the drafting idea of one current and one historic fighter. Not sure how others feel on it. I think it would allow everyone in the draft to be on the same playing field.

An exciting weight division and some managers coming back would be nice.

Perhaps a ruling on when you could unify. Two defense doesn't seem bad.

I wouldn't be against doing heavyweight, but honestly, we have done heavy at least 3 times since I've been a part of this and I would really like to do a division we haven't done before. but majority rules.

Lightwelter is the only logical answer.

A great mix of lighweight and welterweight with a ton of great fighters who fought exclusively at light welter, Like Pryor,Tszyu and Cervantes.

The lower weight divisions like flyweight and bantamweight aren't really loaded enough to stand on their own. And I really don't want to mix divisions because it effs with the belt rankings. Found this out from previous seasons.

IMO the only divisions that can stand on their own are HW, LHW, MW, WW, LW and FW.

I don't really follow the lighter weights all that much. But there aren't that many standout fighters. The last boxersI watched that light was Concepcion.

Commish, can you make this a poll after the grand finale of Week 35. :)

Our last 3 seasons have been: Welterweight, Featherweight and Light Heavyweight. So I guess that rules them out.

And I would aslo rule out the Middleweights, because a lot of the Welter fighters would reappear again.

I guess that the Heavyweights are our best option, purely by process of elimination.

I know that some lads on here are grumbling cause they might be a bit fed up with the Heavies, as they've done it 3 times before. But it hasn't been done in a while, and a lot of the new Managers haven't done it.

Guys if you don't like it, take a sabbatical or something. I don't mean that in a rude or ignorant way, but we have to try and keep the Sim fresh...
And using the same fighters in 2 consecutive seasons is not the way forward. :shame:

A FRESH IDEA:

What about a Heavyweight season, and the amanagers can pick 3 fighters!!!

It might work, it hasn't been done before.

And the 2 defence rule before unifying is a good rule. But I would have voted 3 defences. :TU:

What ever division the Commish decides on is Ok in my opinion.

Maybe to make it a bit less boring for TF, Why dont you get to manage a Few fighters also during the season. :TU: :TU:

Agreed. Back in the olden days of BRS, the Commish would manage a fighter.

Not Heavyweight... If Flyweight and Bantamweight are out, then Lightweight would be great.

Excellent diea... But I think we can go one better than that. How about in homage to the Commish, he receives Kostya Tszyu right away, even before the draft takes place. :TU:

(That is if we are doing a lighter weight season of course). :TU:

Yeah mate I've thought about it, but at this point I'm satisfied running things. If anyone wanted to run a season as the commish I'd certainly participate as a manager.

Here's what I'd like to see for the new season. Sav and Neri returning.

Kevo see what you can do.
