Always, always makes me laugh when I see it...

Max Baer literally running across the ring, right hand cocked in almost slapstick stage-comedy pose, in pursuit of the giant Primo Carnera, sprinting for his own safety :OhYes:

The two tumble to the canvas & become entangled at different times through the fight, too.

What about all that weird howling sh!t Larry Holmes was carrying on with during the fight with Ray Mercer? What the hell was that all about!?

A Police Officer having to climb onto the ring apron & place a restraining hand on Marco Antonio Barrera in his fight with Naseem Hamed (can't remember what happened exactly, but I remember Jim Lampley saying, "I don't know when I've seen a fighter have a hand placed on him by a Police Officer while in the ring" ).

Floyd Mayweather & Jim Lampley discussing NFL...while Mayweather was in-ring, fighting Henry Bruseles :DD

Golota just pulling up stumps and leaving the ring at the end of round two against Tyson. Bizzare due to the fact that he was controlling the first round until he got dropped and won the second. I think if he had of stayed in it he had a very good chance of winning that fight.

I heard you're well-versed in regards to strange goings-on, "in the ring" Image

Golota needs a thread like this all to himself. Damn, he needs a whole board like this all to himself. Yeah, that Tyson fight was probably the most bizarre of them all. All he wanted to do was go home, but he's so strong that he was actually accidentally starting to win the fight in round two.

It got me thinking of other peculiar endings to fights that leave you scratching your head or thinking, 'well bugger me with a fish fork.'
There's the Danny Williams come-from-behind win against Mark Potter where Danny managed to knock Mark out with one arm, the other being dislocated and hanging limply by his waist.
Adolpho Washington being headbutted by a T.V camera also springs to mind.
I think I made that a thread a while ago. I, too, was completely confused by that ending.
What happened?

Fan Man was my first thought along with Tyson's inabilty to control his hunger pangs.

Other more obscure one's such as Rock Newman helping Bowe out by pulling his opponent over the top rope.

Lloyd Honeyghan racing across the ring at the start of the 2nd? round to batter Johnny Bumphus on his stool

Zab Judah throwing a stool at the ref (the type you sit on I might add  )

Manny Stewards rugby tackle on Holyfield also in the fan man fight i think

Sorry, but a dude flying some ridiculous contraption into the ring outpoints a shoe-wielding mum, imo. :D

But she damn sure should get honorable mention. :TU:

The ending to Canizales/"Bones" Adams still has me scratching my head a bit. Adams had made a good comeback from an early beating and even put himself in a solid enough position to possibly win until his father flipped out and threw in the towel.

From memory Golota had sustained some pretty nasty injuries when he walked out after a coupla rounds with Tyson, one of which was a broken vertebre in his neck. But bizzare circumstances none the less.

I don't know, but maybe a guy who comes into the ring in underwear and tennis shoes and gets knocked out in 3 seconds is kind of strange.

vs Steve McCarthy, I am sure of it.

Steve had a racist element of fans (not Steve's fault, of course), shouting obcenities at ringside, which naturally, upset Tony's Mum and she decided to take matters into her own hands - Cue stilleto heel to the back 'o' the 'ead.

Tony did bash Steve up in the rematch. Could only find a record of one fight, but I am positive they had 2 fights.

Yes, that's a weird one! Further reading suggests Khaokor had been in a car crash not long before the fight so was possibly carrying brain trauma into it... :o

To think Wilson was granted a TKO win. Wow. I know the logic behind it (McCarthy refused to resume boxing after the ref ordered the fight to continue) but surely a ring invasion on behalf of one boxer prompts an automatic disqualification.

Especially by a feloniously assaulting (why wasn't she arrested?) member of his immediate family! But then this is pro boxing we're talking about, one step below Vince McMahon's pro wrasslin "sports entertainment" shows.

Butler sucker punching Grant was one of the oddest things in the ring that I saw in real time.

Agreed Butler hitting Grant after the fight had concluded is high on the list for Strange goings on.

Fan Man obviously is one of the strangest happenings in the history of sports.

Rock Newman pulling Elijah Tillery over the top rope when he and Bowe were fighting after the Bell comes to mind.

Oliver McCall's apparent mental breakdown in the Lennox Lewis rematch.

Arthur Mercante Jr.'s refusal to stop the fight after Yuri Foreman's corner had thrown the towel in and people had filled the ring believing the fight to be over was a strange scene from last year, and a highly questionable act from Mercante as well.

I'm sure there are others in this crazy sport of ours, but those are all that come to mind at the moment. Also, Tony Wilson should've absolutely been DQ'ed after his mother came swinging a high heel at his opponent. The fact that the victim of this attack was considered a TKO loser is ludicrous.

It was live on USA network.
If you saw it live u know what im talking about.
I dont think the USA nETWORK Bothered to repeat it later like they usually did at Midnight.
And what an odd time for the commentors to stay silient
(Albert and Sean O'Grady)I think they were just speechless.
