A few years ago, I would have taken you up on the offer (did some sparring in the past). People I used to spar with told me I could punch and take a punch pretty ok.

Getting closer to the big 40 now, so I'll stick to playing football, but good luck mate :TU:

You would get matched sensibly and then be able to tell your grandkids that you did it, should have, would have, could have were the last words of a fool

Are all your shows in Pompey, Bill or do you ever venture north? I might be interested if you do a show not too far from Liverpool.

Great idea! Shame Carlos is in China - imagine his 320lb going against some keyboard warrior...

I'd also be interested in anything like this in the Liverpool/Cheshire area (live there now), any training facilities, white collar organisations etc.

Maybe worth us looking into?

I am under 300lbs now! :TU:

It is a great idea though! Kudos to Billy for posting this up, it would make a good new year's resolution and it would be very interesting to read up on the preperation and the lead up to the bout for any boxrecers who fancy having a go. :box:

If I was anywhere near Pomp I'd fancy giving it a go. Best of luck mate, as stated it would be great if a few lads of here got involved and we could follow up on how they're getting on preparing etc.

I've always fancied it but never done it. Nearest I've got is a punchman thing in my garden and some 'back garden boxing' with mates! Am gona try and join an amateur boxing club this year though.

Funnily enough Carlos travelled to Birmingham to fight me once (I'm being serious). It's an old story which we don't talk about any more

You should tell the story from the beginning if you are going to tell it... and make it the truthful, unabridged version. ;;-)

I am suprised you outed yourself on here as I never mentioned you once. :geek2:

I've got a mental image of Carlos standing in the Brummie bullring shouting, "Come on, Law, let's fooking have it!", and getting spannered by every copper in the region.

It is making me chuckle.

Spill the beans!

That's quite funny!

No, I am not telling you. I'll let Law tell the story.
