I've seen Vazquez Sr fight as a super bantam and featherweight, and took him to be a bit of a slow footed plodder, albeit with big power. I've heard though that he had some really interesting fights as a bantamweight. Ring mag described his war with Antonio Avelar as one of the best fights ever, a war that Vazquez lost via stoppage in 8. I saw this many years ago on a poor quality tape and don't recall much.
Also, the draw with the Japanese fighter Takuya Mugurama was described as a very hard fight.
And apparently both men were down vs Miguel Lora?
Are these fights worth hunting down (including his WBA title winning effort vs Park as well)?
Wilfredo Vazquez v Miguel Lora & Takuya Mugurama (at 118)

Yes collect those fights Wilfredo Vazquez v Miguel Lora is a great fight although I have not found it in great quality.
I have it in poor quality but with a good tv monitor and watching from several meters away It was a pleasant watch.
