There is a fight listed on George Gunthers record that supposedly took place in Argentina where he supposedly weighed 224 pounds and fought a guy weighing 125. There is no date or result given. Im curious where this comes from and extremely skeptical. I have films of Gunther taken a year or two after this supposed fight and unless he had several cement blocks tied to his ankles I fail to see how he could have possibly weighed 224. He was a welterweight/MW around this time and completely ripped. At the very, very, very most I can see him weighing MAYBE 180 lbs, and even thats a huge stretch which would still put him 45 pounds below what he supposedly weighed for this fight in Argentina.
