South African Olympic bronze medalist from about 1918

Dick Beland was my grandfather and apart from the above I know very little about him. He died in 1966 and represented South Africa. Proberbly a fly or a bantom wieght boxer but am not sure, although he was tiny. Any one got any ideas?

I can't make sense of the numbers in brackets, but it seems to suggest that the compiler of the list thought that Richard Beland was 4th in the lightweight competition.[/url]
