You could try writing to some of the promoters, asking? Or even some of the boxers. Don't ask, don't get.

I did that ages ago with Hyland and got sent signed photos of Dunne & Neary. I only sort of mentioned in passing I liked watching Neary and I got them in the post with tickets.

depending where you live might be good idea to visit the nearby gyms, depends if you want big big stars or just boxers in general - get some fight posters maybe and get them signed, that would look choice.

Best thing to do is get yourself down the gyms or failing that to shows. Even when they are not fighting themselves a lot of boxers attend shows to cheer on their gym mates etc.

He was there a couple of years ago at the November one.Still,i missed that one so i will be there with my Hagler,Duran and Hearns programmes. It will pay for itself in the long run. They will add a few more lower key names as well.

With a bit of ‘googling’ and using general ‘fanmail’ websites you can get postal contact address for a huge number of boxers – some are their gym addresses, some their home addresses, some are their agent’s addresses. A nicely worded letter and enclosing a photograph for signing usually does the trick. Talking of Hagler you can get his address through his agents in Boston. You might have to wait but you’ll get a signed photo back eventually.

Hagler has lads of signed stuff for sale on his website.Im more concerned with posters and programmes, some already signed by one boxer.I wouldnt trust posting them halfway round the world.

Just rung the guy whose organising it. Apparently two dinners, April 7 in Chigwell in Essex and Apr 8 at Aston Villa Football Club.

He was driving so didn't get into the details of and if we can get anything over and above signed.

He's apparently ringing me back.

You can get signed portrait photos of Hagler from the website but I collect signed action photos which he doesn't sign for some reason. Been looking for years.

Dirk, Villa might be best for us.

The Calzaghe's(Enzo too!) and Hector Camacho have been added to the line up.I wont be going if thet dont add a bigger name.I have met Joe before and i dont think Camacho is worth the effort to be honest.
