Got banged up for fraud apparently. In Armley he has apologised to the fans & said he is staying in training while there.

He originally had his license suspended. Then the story appeared a few weeks ago in BN.

i don't think it was all that long. Not sure how the diet will affect him in there though. It's not the best gear in the world apparently.

I know one ex con and I'm reading the diary right now of another (Jeffrey Archer, novelist and politician). From what I can gather it's all chips and "stuck together sh*t". We ain't talking salads and chicken breasts here...

Sounds like a Ricky Hatton 'between training camp' diet, haha.

I doubt he will have stayed at Armley too long, and thats a good thing.Armley is one of the worst prisons in the north and the training he will get in there will be limited to say the least.Maybe press ups and shadow boxing in his cell! Its nearly all bang up in there and the food has a worse reputation than most of the other prisons. He will probably have been allocated to a cat c jail after a couple of weeks or maybe even a cat d as he is in for fraud and he will get a lot better conditions there.

I was wondering what happened to him too. I was there in Wigan when he put up a cracking effort against Vincent Vuma having come at late notice taking a fight a weight above. Hope he gets out soon - it would be good to see him in with the likes of Watson, O'Donnell, Jennings, Hatton and Brook.

I visited a mate in Armley; it was an old castle that was colder inside than outside.

Best of luck to Thompson; he's a good boxer who's done a daft thing; we've all done em.

He can get going again, no doubt, he was a fit and fierce lad.

Im a personal friend of marks, the prison has been good to him,he is allowed in the gym everyday,i spoke to his brother the other day and he said mark will be being transfered to a cat d soon, and most probably in a few months may be allowed home on a tag.
